Concordance of Fingerstick and Venipuncture Sampling for Fertility Hormones
A frequently asked question here is whether home-draw blood tests using lancets to obtain small amounts of blood are comparable to the standard large samples taken from our veins. Whilst we have had quite a number of people report that when they had two tests done very close in time, the results were

1st day of period- timings??
Hi all, After abit of advice, although I’ve had my FSH and LH tested a few times before, my problem is the timings! I’m due on now, and could come on today, but if I came on this afternoon would it be too soon tomorrow morning to have my blood test to get the right result, as would it be classed as

I finally did it!
So I’m excited to say that I managed to talk to my mom about my anxiety! I have before but we didn’t really get into but today we did. And I found out that when I was younger my mom suffered from a milder case of anxiety and PTSD. She said she’d get names of therapist she found helpful. So hopefully

D3/cholecalciferol and fish oil and possibly adverse effects
I have just recently learned that some brands of
fish
oil
capsules contain significant levels of D3 . I was taking as many as four or five capsules daily and each contained 2000 units of D3 .

I can't cry or shed tears!
Hello Everyone, I have a great concern about my eyes. I can't seem to cry at all or shed any tears! That worries me so much! I used to be able tp cru when I felt the need to do so but now I can't. My eyes seem dry...very dry! I didn't have this problem until I started taking and stopping that beta blocker

IUI cycle 2
Waiting on my period to arrive (Due Monday) so we can get underway with our second IUI cycle. Picking up the FSH injections and pessaries made me super nervous even though it’s the second time round but also super excited that we have another shot. What makes me feel so much more at ease this time

Hi guys, So just had my ultrasound done as I suspected PCOS. Reason why i kept getting LH surges on my OPK test every other day and a horrible left ovary pain. The ultrasound shows my left ovary has pcos however, my right doesn't. Does this mean i could still get pregnant? I've been trying for 1 year

Things we’re doing
So since the diagnosis of stage 4, and after he was almost completely debilitated.. we have done several things in an attempt to keep him healthy and to fight this from the inside out. Just wanted to share the things we do.. - only drinks water, nothing else.. only distilled as too keep all of the impurities

Managing non-medicated teen
I've done
fish
oil
, magnesium, vitamin D, iron & calcium etc. for years. Football has ended and now we are having a very difficult time with structure: studying/homework and cell phone use. I have been looking for an adhd coach but nothing in my area.

Is menopause possible with normal FSH levels?
Happy new year everyone! I wonder if any of you could shed some light on the above. I’m 29 and have literally all the symptoms of perimenopause, like every single one. But I’ve had my hormones checked twice and everything came back normal apart from low oestrogen the first time (I find that so odd for

Happy London 😊
Hello.. I am so happy to be back even if I am totally crippled with pain 😃 you have to laugh.. Taking those two trains, lifting luggage etc finished me off. Took paracetamol. I immediately went to the Healthfood shop yesterday morning and stocked up on my goodies but I may have to reach for the rescue

Blood test results Progesterone/Oestradiol, liver etc
Hi, please can anyone offer any advice on my test results. I did the test 8 days after ovulation. I wanted the sex hormones tested 7 days after ovulation but my period was a day late. I'm seeing my GP later on this week, but I never really trust them with interpreting results. I had the blood test

The F word!
I was advised to take it for the omega
fish
oil
content & to help T4 to T3 but I’ve read it can make your hair fall out & I’ve noticed I’ve been losing more hair over the last 6 months or so (before starting the flaxseed) but I don’t want to compound the problem. Any advice or thoughts anyone ?
