Experts recommend to eat the fatty fish such as Tuna, Mackerel, anchovies and salmon etc to get your dose of EPA/ DHA or simply take
fish

supplements. EPA/ DHA , ALA are nothing but PUFA.

What affects blood test results?
I currently take tumeric,
fish
oil
, vit D, vit C, CBD oil and iron. Do any of these affect blood test results if taken a day before the test? I know it's important to have the earliest blood test on the day, without taking thyroid medications prior, but is there anything else I should know?

VITAMIN A versus betacarotine
When I first joined TUK,in pre internet forum days,I seem to remember being advised to take betacarotine,as hypothyroidism created a problem with converting vitamin A. Can't seem to find anything about this now.Is it a good idea to take vitamin A or betacarotine?Just finished some cod liver oil capsules

Perimenapausal and donor eggs
Following miscarriage at 6 was on my fresh ivf cycle, I have been advised that my FSH level is 28.8, so the percentage of me getting pregnant again through ivf using my eggs is down to 10%. The consultant advised that I have 50-60% chance of a healthy pregnancy using donor eggs. But that it takes about

Hi guys, I’m new here and hoping to find any information or advice and if anyone has been through the same. I have endometriosis and was managing it by taking the pill. After the injections in 2008 I fully intend to go back on the pill. I did try HRT as add back but my body rejected it and it was scary

Omega-3 oils and bisoprolol - Article in the Times
I read an article in the Times yesterday (25 Sept) that amongst other 'health supplements', Omega-3
fish
oil
supplements can affect bisoprolol. The comments come from some research at the University of Hertfordshire and were published in the British Journal of General Practice.

Yet Another Unusual Disorder That Can Cause You Problems
Fish
oil
, flaxseed oil, evening primrose oil & vitamin C are all helpful. Your best option is 1 tablespoon of high quality flaxseed oil per day, plus 2 to 4 high quality evening primrose gelcaps, plus 1,000 mgs of Vit.C. This comes straight from the website, not me.

Lab results, any tips, advice etc is very welcome!
Hi all, Today I visited the endocrinologist. This was the second time I went to this one, after getting stuck with previous internists who only were willing to treat upon TSH and FT4. I I'm on 0.1375 levothyroxine and 4 times a day 5 mcg liotyronine. I still have lots of hypo symptons, most problematic

Moved back in!
Hello BLF friends I moved back on Friday after hospital. It was a long day. Still squashed on the sofa with an electric radiator, it’s -2 but it’s ok curled up under the duvet. See who keeps me company, and takes most of the room 😃 I’m joking She has been a most supportive companion actually. It’s

Jakafi side effects
Hi everyone, I’m 62, diagnosed w et about 12 years ago, pv a few years later. Terrible itching, esp in high temperatures, was driving me crazy. I got on Jakafi for the itching, and that’s been great. But my immune system has gone to hell—weird infections, bimonthly bronchitis, painful heel bursitis
