Hot flushes and levoxthyrine
Hello. I am on levoxthyrine and also suffering horrendous night sweats and hot flushes due to menopause. What can I take to ease these symptoms that is compatible with levoxthyrine? My doctor said that soy works but then told me that I cannot take it with levoxthyrine and didn't give me any alternative

Finally Endo is listening
I agreed to the Grand Experiment of reducing thyroxine dose to 128 mcg per day (I got her to write the script for 150 mcg tablets but skipped one per week to get to average of 128 mcg). This started mid August 2017. By October I was losing hair like crazy. I went from pony tail to rat tail and removed

Initial consultation - low AMH
Hi there, My wife and I had our initial consultation today which prepares us for our NHS funded round of IVF. We approached it with both a level of excitement yet some trepidation. My wife's blood test results showed that her FSH was good but her AMH was below what it should be for someone her age.

Newbie!!
This duly happened about 12 years ago so, on the advice of my mother who is a qualified nurse and has chronic osteoarthritis, I started taking a
fish
oil
capsule daily - and it helped! When I started the Acid and Adcal, I stopped taking the oil - doc said I didn't need it.

Low Testosterone or Depression
Hi, 45 yr male going through a rough patch with depression, severe stress, cognitive and libido issues. GP is firmly in the "you have health anxiety and this is depression" camp, which I am prone to, but I decided to get my androgens checked (again). My total T in August 2017 was 24.7 n/mol but Jan

Extreme Fatigue
Hi There... this is my first post but I have learned a lot from the Patient perspective by reading your posts. I learn things that I’m never going to learn from an Oncologist. I have survived 5 1/2 years from MBC and although on constant drugs I only once agreed to chemotherapy. After 11 weeks I told

New drug Constella (Linaclotide)
Have been an ibs sufferer for many years and have just had a severe 6 day bout of constipation. (Which took a massive amount of laxatives to resolve). I already take one and a half Movicol sachets per day and 25mg Amitriptyline. I have just been given a new drug called Constella 290mg but forgot to

Possible PCOS
Hi all, I'm new to the community but have been reading through some posts, it's relieving to hear other people's experiences. I will try and keep my story as brief as possible. I'm 30 years old, always suffered with my periods being very heavy and irregular so had birth control for many years. Recently

Thick toe nails - fungus?
Toenails. I have thick big toe and pinky toe nails. Under one big toe is a white lump in the middle of the nail under the nail. I do not think it is a fungus. I used tea tree oil and oregano oils for months - and they are anti-fungal. I just want this "bump" to grow out smooth again. I cut my toenail

Vitamin C
For now I'm thinking about taking vitamin C, I've already started taking good quality omega 3
fish
oil
capsules and thought vitC might help through the winter now that there's a lot of colds etc doing the rounds, also I am prone to ending up with a chest infection when getting a cold.

Supplements to help prostap side effects
Hi I’ve been put on prostap as I’ve been diagnosed with post ablation syndrome. And I’m expecting the dreaded menopause symptoms to start soon. I’ve read lots about natural remedies - eg starflower oil and black cosh magnesium etc. But my question is are these recommended for when you are in menopause

Tips and tricks for coping with anxiety
While suffering from anxiety for years, I have come up with some tactics that I personally use to help me get through each day as minimally anxious as possible. I hope you find them useful or somewhat helpful! 1. When waking up the first thing I do is sit quietly for a few minutes and pray. You can pray
