I haven't ran for almost two weeks. I intended to give my body a break over Christmas as my joints were sore so thought a break would be good. Now i don't feel too motivated for my run which I'm planning for Monday morning. Anybody feel like this? Also I'm thinking of trying cod liver oil for the joints. I'm 35 and feel 65 ha ha

Get out there ! Don’t wait for Monday, just go and do a ten minute jog now ! The truth is never as bad as the fear 😄
If you can, get a running buddy. They’re great for kickstarting the mojo. If not, then as buttercupkid says, just go for a quick 10-20 minute jog about. Drive somewhere nice and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Suck it up and run on.... good luck!!
Ease yourself back in with a slow easy run on Monday. Take the pressure off and just run for the fun of it with your favourite music or a good audiobook.
I did it! Couldn't do it before Monday so just did a slow 20 mins on Monday and then 27 mins today. Just going to build back up to 5k which i should get back to next week 😊
The thing with motivation is, well, l simply ignore all that philosophical business. Running is simple. You want to run or you don’t want to run. Neither is compulsory and only you call the shots. That’s the beauty of it.
