How my idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis diagnosis in 2015 led to open heart surgery five years ago today
I have done a podcast type post today about the above, together with copies of blogposts prior to, and after, my open heart surgery, which I did in February and April 2017. I hope some of you may find of interest. Regards Robert https://paperbagstories.substack.com/ It talking bit was unscripted and

My menopause symptoms have started to come back. Could it be that my body's naturally produced hormones have reduced?
I have been on Tibolone 2.5mg for 3 years. In the last 6 months my symptoms have started to return (hot flashes, low mood, tired, weight round trunk and aches) Nowhere near as bad as before going on HRT but I have an annual appointment on Wednesday with the nurse to review my HRT. I wanted to ask

NAFLD vs ARLD prognosis & ELF Score of 10.2 AST:ALT Ratio of 0.7
My GP ordered more tests & I have just had the results back which give me an ELF score of 10.2 & it says ELF Score ELF >= 9.5: possible significant hepatic
fibrosis
. However, according to the NICE website <10.51, then advanced liver
fibrosis
is unlikely.

1 month out from RF ablation for asymptomatic afib
Unfortunately, at the time of the ablation they found moderate left atrial scarring/
fibrosis
(LAS). From what I've read, the pre-existing LAS increases the chance of procedure failure and precludes any further ablations. Should I have had the ablation done sooner? Probably.

My US with elastrography Study Result Impression Metavir score F0-F1, Absent or Mild
Fibrosis
Liver steatosis grading S2 increased compared to prior. How can one say mild
fibrosis
and the other cirrhotic liver? I am stressing as I get near my appointment. Any thoughts?
