Probably not new news here to most...but looking after your guts seems to be a big
part of helping your liver.
The article below is very long and full of long words but the gist is that and treatments may also lie in this area.
Its good in itself as well!!
You can google for ways to proceed such as pre and probiotics and fibre
Personally I eat yoghurt, kefir, bran and take bioculture tablets daily together with very few carbs and sugars...and no alcohol!! Others mention meat and salt in posts but. Im low salt due to blood pressure. Processed and excess red meats of course are known to be bad. I feel digestively very good for that
Role of the Gut–Liver Axis in Liver Inflammation, Fibrosis, and Cancer: A Special Focus on the Gut Microbiota Relationship
I’m interested in nutrition and before I knew i had any issues with my liver I read a book called The Diet Myth by Tim Spector ( you’ll have seen him on TV as Covid expert). It’s about the importance of the gut micro biome in relation to weight. I found it interesting and upped my intake of vegetables and fruits and reintroduced nuts and avocados as a result. So glad I did given my present diagnosis of NAFLD/ Fibrosis. I’ve now cut out red meat, most salt and sugar. From my reading I’ve made a list of foods that are good for reducing inflammation in the body which I’m sharing with you. Apologies in advance as I know many of you will know all this already. Happy Eating all

Yes coffee has had a bad press and I used to limit myself to one cup a day and drink lots of tea instead. There’s a body of research on coffee being good for people with liver issues so I’ve upped my intake to 2-3 cups a day.
