Happy new year! I wish 2022 brings to you all the things your hearts desire!
I am about to start medications for a frozen embryo transfer in a week, however have tested positive for covid and need to self-isolate for the next few days. Can you please let me know any information on whether or not I can do ahead with the transfer or whether I have to wait? I read somewhere that for egg collection you should wait a month after covid - does that apply to embryo transfer as well? Any information you have on this will be greatly appreciated. I only have two embryos from 3 ivf cycles and I want to give them the best chance I can. My symptoms are mild and feel like a cold and I'm double vaccinated and boostered. Thanks a lot for your help, as always I really appreciate your support!
Lots of positive and healthy vibes for 2022 xx

I’m in the prep month for my FET (just sunk a wad of cash into a 3DSiS, meds on order and starting norethisterone in a week), and am really reluctant to tell my clinic unless they make me delay. But I’ve only got one embryo left on ice after a MMC and a chemical, and I want to give it the best shot. Conundrum!
I haven’t found any particularly reliable sources of info, so I guess I’ll just have to have that talk with the clinic, but I have found this Reddit thread:
Hi FlatFooted, thanks so much for your response! Have you decided what you are going to do? I've just heard back from my clinic and they said that they are happy for me to go ahead once I test negative, which means that it would be likely for me to be able to go ahead now! I'll test again tonight and see what happens. It's a difficult decision and I'm not sure if I can get myself to wait another couple of months again (wouldn't be able to do it next month because of my job). Do let me know if you have any other thoughts! x
Hi DJ. You are triple vaccinated which is brilliant, so provided you haven't got a temperature, you should be good to go. If you do develop one, you must let the clinic know, as it would probably be indicative of infection. Good luck! Diane
