Fibrosis result confusion
My
fibrosis
test 61/2 year ago was 22, two months later down to 16. Just had my 6 monthly scan and bloods and everything is fine. They also gave me a
fibrosis
test at my request, has been over 6 years, I thought maybe bit of luck might be down from 16, or just the same. No it was 40!

Biopsies and confusion
A trichrome stain shows extensive pericellular
fibrosis
and bridging
fibrosis
. A PAS with diastase is negative for alpha-1-antitiypsin inclusions. A reticulin stain shows a maintained architecture. A Prussian Blue stains is negative for siderosis.

2nd Liver Biopsy result
My 2nd liver biopsy states I have advanced bridging
fibrosis
with a score of 4/6. Which I think means F3. My previous fibroscan was F2 (9.2kpa). I'm not seeing my consultant for 13 weeks.

Elevated ELF but 'normal' Fibroscan pressure - how?
I am concerned about severe
fibrosis
. I am working to reduce my weight and alcohol intake. Just wondered if anyone could guide me with respect to these seemingly inconsistent results. Thank you!

He said that I have severe liver
fibrosis
F3, very nearly F4. I am awaiting a hospital appointment, I have been told to expect regular, frequent appointments. How concerned should I be? Thanks

pulmonary fibrosis
hi all, I joined recently looking for advice for my husband PF, and copd. He has two inhalers, Trimbow and ventolin. He can’t walk 10 steps without getting breathless. Putting his shoes on he’s breathless. So I measured for oxygen which drops to 82, sit down do nothing and it’ll come back up to 94 within

Pulmonary Fibrosis
I thought that members with Pulmonary
Fibrosis
might be interested to know that in their latest newsletter ELF, the European Lung Foundation, mentioned that they have just brought out a booklet, Pulmonary
Fibrosis
: a supportive guide.

This can show many more dimensions of the liver for more accurate account of any stiffness or

Ultrasound/Biopsy show cirrhosis, but fibroscan score is 7.4
A recent fibroscan score was 7.4, which is
fibrosis
. Although some parts of the fibroscan were as high as 8. Can someone explain this? My dr. was very vague in his explanation. Thank you❤️

FibroScan Results Significant improvement
Today I had my follow up FibroScan and the results were as follows:
Fibrosis
result: Median = 4.4 kPa (No evidence of
fibrosis
) Steatosis result: CAP score = 144 dB/m (Normal/ No steatosis) I understand that FibroScan tests can overestimate results under certain conditions, but I am absolutely thrilled

FIB4 Test
The
fibrosis
4 (FIB4) index is a liver
fibrosis
biomarker that is a potential alternative to liver biopsy for diagnosing and managing liver disease. The primary outcome was the number of individuals within each risk category for hepatic
fibrosis
: high risk (FIB4 ≥ 3.25) and low risk (FIB4 < 1.3).

Nintedanib
I've recently started to take nintedanib for my
fibrosis
which I have in both lungs, I've had hypersensitive pneumonitis for some years now (I'm 70) and also take prednisolone but I'm struggling with nausea and diarrhea and would like to know if this improves after a few weeks/months.
