pulmonary fibrosis
hi all, I joined recently looking for advice for my husband PF, and copd. He has two inhalers, Trimbow and ventolin. He can’t walk 10 steps without getting breathless. Putting his shoes on he’s breathless. So I measured for oxygen which drops to 82, sit down do nothing and it’ll come back up to 94 within

I've been recently diagnosis with
fibrosis
stage three and I'm coming to terms with how to live with the situation. And over the years it is caught up with me and my body is telling me I've been silly.

Pulmonary Fibrosis
I thought that members with Pulmonary
Fibrosis
might be interested to know that in their latest newsletter ELF, the European Lung Foundation, mentioned that they have just brought out a booklet, Pulmonary
Fibrosis
: a supportive guide.

FibroScan Results Significant improvement
Today I had my follow up FibroScan and the results were as follows:
Fibrosis
result: Median = 4.4 kPa (No evidence of
fibrosis
) Steatosis result: CAP score = 144 dB/m (Normal/ No steatosis) I understand that FibroScan tests can overestimate results under certain conditions, but I am absolutely thrilled

High AST/ALT Question
My fibrosure shows almost no
fibrosis
and no steatosis. What could be causing these numbers to still be elevated?

Bands pulmonary fibrosis tomography
I also performed a computer tomogram, which showed increased bands of pulmonary
fibrosis
. I also performed a spirometry test, which showed medium restriction. Give me an airflusal/forspiro inhaler, but it doesn't help me to walk.

NHS Targeted Lung Check
However, might they also detect Fatty Liver,
Fibrosis
or Cirrhosis etc too? Can't see anything to this effect but wondered whether anyone has been diagnosed via this procedure?

FIB4 Test
The
fibrosis
4 (FIB4) index is a liver
fibrosis
biomarker that is a potential alternative to liver biopsy for diagnosing and managing liver disease. The primary outcome was the number of individuals within each risk category for hepatic
fibrosis
: high risk (FIB4 ≥ 3.25) and low risk (FIB4 < 1.3).

I was surprised to read that this medicine can cause interstitial lung disease such as pulmonary
fibrosis
. I don’t remember it being mentioned on the forum. Of course some diseases with stop you from communicating freely. Any comments? Jumbo4
