Hello,

How can a Hep B patient reverse Fibrosis?

My Doctor has taken me off medication for 2 years. This is my latest Ultrasound Result.IMPRESSION:

The hepatic median tissue stiffness was 6.04 kPa compatible with normal to mild hepatic fibrosis

FINDINGS:

Liver: Measures 15.0 cm in sagittal length. Homogeneous echotexture and smooth contour. No focal liver lesions.

Liver Elastography:

Liver stiffness measurements were obtained on a GE using a C1-6 probe. A minimum of 5 measurements were obtained with the patient in a slight left lateral decubitus position.

The hepatic median tissue stiffness was 6.04 kPa with the IQR-to-median ratio of 15.4%. Metavir Score: F1

Basically Fibroscan cannot see different between F0 and F1. Lowest possible result is F0/F1. But it does not matter because F1 is a good result almost normal.

My wife went from F3 to F1, my understanding at the time, is unless a biopsy's which is what she had. An F0 is near impossible without a biopsy's to confirm.
