I have CPFE (combined pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema) and have noticed that with the change in the weather my breathing has improved, however I seem to be struggling with a persistent cough and catarrh. I'm also constantly tired.I've noticed a lot of strange odours coming from outside, I'm guessing due to the rising temperature.
Has anyone else had problems with this?
Many thanks

Well I have COPD and the weather certainly plays a part in how my breathing is each day once the pressure drops to below110 I struggle a bit more, and wheeze a bit, as for the strange odours I also at times smell fumes from my work days when watching telly or reading a book, strange.
Not a silly question at all.ask anything, that's how we learn and cope.i think weather affects a lot of us,with various lung diseases.if yr catarrh is bad, have u tried an antihistamine and/or steroid nose spray?x
I sometimes get the strange fumes smell when I am about to come down with a cold. That's when I start using nasal saline washes, Vicks First Defence and antiseptic mouth wash gargles to stop anything in its tracks before it develops further.
