Need help understanding this…
I made a post 16 days ago asking for your thought's on my labs. One of my labs 16 days ago came back as being Vitamin D deficient (Vitamin D: 27.4 ng/ml (Low) ….(30-100) So I started supplementing with D3 and K2 (vitamin D 2000IU and activated K2 75mcg) daily for the past 13 days (missed 3 days).

Been on here a while now
Finally had my first appointment at the respiratory clinic at the local hospital. I got a leaflet regarding biological treatments. And a blood test too. Hopefully things change from here

edoxaban or rivaroxaban?
I have been on Lixiana (Edoxaban) since my AF diagnosis just over two years ago and have had no issues at all with it. After my last request for a repeat prescription I got a phone call today from the doctor saying that the blood test I had last August (!) revealed a slight decrease in kidney function

One year on!
There has been a discussion on here today about how fantastically supportive this group is. I would like to add my voice to this on this, my first Re-Birthday! On 1st September 2022 I watched new healthy stem cells trickle into my veins giving me my life back. I am so grateful to everyone who cared for

IBS attack after antibiotics
Took Amoxicillin (7days) and Co Amoxiclav (5days) for a bad sinus/ear infection. Got some diarrhoea on the first day of the second lot (tried to consult 111, eventually gave up) by the second day symptoms improved so I carried on taking it. Around 10 days later started with diarrhoea, tummy and backache

hi everyone
I have really cut down on drinking in the last year after a withdrawal scare and panic about liver damage. I managed several months sober but kept relapsing with binges. Each time I went back to the doctor to get fresh blood tests as I was convinced that was the moment I had destroyed my liver. I now

Familial Polycythemia
Hi,I wondered if anyone could advise on what care we should be getting for familial polycythemia? my 2 children (age 24 & 27) and I were tested at Guys a few years ago for the Jak2 gene, it was negative & we were discharged. Our blood tests always show a red cell count around 5.6, Haemoglobin 160

new to methotrexate: will my MTX fatigue fade or continue?
I'm just a beginner here, having received an RA diagnosis in December on the basis of blood tests (I have no joint pain or problems, but my blood markers agree with the RA diagnosis; elevated RA and anti-CCP). I also have three other diagnoses: PSA (psoriatic arthritis), PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica),

First Rheumatology Appointment
I had my first rheumatology appointment today and I think it well unless any of you think otherwise as I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was diagnosed with PMR by GP at the end of June 2023 and successfully tapered from 15mg of Prednisolone to 10mg by the end of August however after three failed attempts

Eptopic?
I have a repeat blood test tomorrow after my HCG last week was just 9, I had a sore stomach through the week and Ive had a consistently dull pain in my right side tonight and so paranoid it's eptopic (originally thought chemical) has anyone had experience of this and had similar symptoms? I will obviously

Concern over liver function test
I was taken to hospital in mid-October with heart MI and had an angiogram two days later. This showed no problems with the arteries. I was discharged with statins and other medication pending an MRI. I'm still waiting for the MRI and my consultant appointment is not until mid-April. I have just had the

Fatty Liver -Pain

My son died at the age of 36 in the USA in September 2023. He had been alcohol dependent but had finally managed to stop drinking a month before, and his liver results were steadily improving . He woke up one Sunday bright yellow but feeling fine and it took his wife 48 hours to persuade him to go to
