Week 4 complete
A massive thanks to everyone who commented on my post on Monday, I was in huge need of that motivation! Just completed my final run of week 4. I like the fact that it's up to 5 minute runs now and am taking it in my stride (ha!) Feeling a little more optimistic after Monday but a bit drained too.

Is it Fibromyalgia?
Hello, I recently went to the doctors because I have had pain all over my body (shoulders, neck, knees, ankles, elbows, jaw), dizziness, exhaustion and feeling fluey for around 18 months. I had a blood test to check for RA and general health and was all clear apart from low iron. The doctor has put

Blood tests - what time?
Hi, I have always had my blood tests done by 08.30 in the past. The hospital is moving to a booking system that tends to give .uch later in the day. Is it important to have your bloods done early?

Update on inflammation/injections
2 months ago I put information on the site about my upcoming injections at the top of my neck just below my skull, which was said to be Facet Joint injections, and maybe the cause of where the inflammation might be coming from, and therefore may not be Polymyalgia after all, which I have had for six

How many days after a cold should I wait for blood test?
I have been on 75 mg of Levothyroxine since November 2022 after initially starting on 50 mg and have booked an advanced Medichecks thyroid test on Monday 18 December to get facts about my thyroid and nutrition status. I don’t feel as well as I should, still cold and get bouts of constipation, muscle

Interferon
ET / JAK2pos diagnosed September 2023 age 66yrs. I’m collecting my Interferon therapy today after seeing my Specialist in Oxford (UK) yesterday. Recent platelet count is 506 and my BMB is showing no fibrosis. I’m feeling a little apprehensive but hopefully won’t have too many side effects. I also

Diagnosis About Turn?
Evening all, I joined this group 3 weeks ago - quite relieved to have been diagnosed - finally! The 'symptoms' literature that the GP had given me was absolutely spot on, as was everything I read in Kate Gilberts book - even my husband was gob smacked that everything seemed to fit. But, as of yesterday

Severe RLS Where do I go now?
Hi! I've been lurking reading your posts for a couple of years. I live in Sweden and am a 58 yo female and have severe burning RLS without PLMD. Here's a condensed version of my story: July 2011 Laminectomy C4-C5. no real slide effects except nerve pain in right index finger which I've learned to block

Salazopyrin
Hi advice on Salazopyrin I've been taking Salazopyrin for some months with regular blood tests. Inflammatory arthritis and colitis. All was going well until I received a phone call to say stop taking them because my last blood test showed a problem with red blood count. I've googled excessively until

Seeking reassurance on fatigue and recovery
Hi everyone, I've been managing a rollercoaster of symptoms lately and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.
Onset
: Since December 2022, I had recurring, short episodes of fatigue. About once every month, I would feel it coming on (almost like a cold, but with no sinus/respiratory

GP wont prescribe Hydroxycobalamin until further blood tests conducted despite neuro involvement.
Good morning.I've found this forum out of desperation having experienced what I now know are symptoms of B12 deficiency for a few years. After repeated B12 levels over the years which consistently showed my levels dropping (treatable since 2021 in some parts of the country) they were finally low enough

white capsules vs pink/green capsules Hydroxycarbamide
Hi all Have any of you had the plain white capsules of Hydroxycarbamide instead of the Pink/Green capsules ? I’ve been taking the pink/green capsules made by Bristol Myers Squibb for several years with increased doses from time to time. Earlier this year my dose was increased to 3x500mg Friday Saturday

Rheumatology
Having read several times on here, it would seem that most people have had regular blood tests and rheumatology appointment. I have been on high dose steroids for PMR, for around 2 years. I am gradually cutting this right down to 3mg. I have never seen a rheumatologist, my doctor doesn't think it is
