Hi fellow hearties Just to introduce myself and to say how much I have found this forum very informative over past few months. Sadly I just need to grumble today - no response required as I know so many have far worse to contend with. My story is similar to so many, female who had my symptoms

Hello 💐 I m new here. My platelet count 1080 down from 1140 (3 month ago).
I am trying to find out as much as I can. Had to have a blood test in January due to 3 months of very heavy peri/post menopausal bleeding. My iron was low and platelets at 1140, everything else normal. I was given a prescription for iron tablets and my blood test last week showed iron now normal but

Non Diabetic Hypoglycemia!
So the ongoing itching has driven me crazy, and took matters into my own hands as fed up of GP, Consultants and Cardio Teams all saying talk to someone else. I demanded blood tests to check if underlying condition maybe causing the itching ( even though still 90% convinced it's meds- Dapagliflozin is

Daily back pain
I have had daily middle / upper back pain for 2 and a half years. I have pernicious anaemia too. G.p. thinks my pain is muscular. I've seen several physiotherapists. The current one thinks my pain is muscular caused by poor posture. I think she's probably right. I think it's been exacerbated by my job

iron results
I have just received these iron blood test results, could someone please look over them for me as I’m unsure if I should be supplementing or not?

First appointment with nhs Rheumy
Hi, I had my first nhs appointment with the Rheumy who is based at the same health centre as the one I have seen privately. He did say to me that he was aware that I had seen one, I had already had my bloods done prior to the appointment. He said my RF was 170 which is high, he gave me two booklets

Active B12 gone down
Hello, I have been on loading doses (initially from my GP and now SI) for 7 weeks and am slowly improving. My initial active B12 was 48.1 ng/L, serum 162. I was on daily oral B12 supplements at the time so my results were skewed. I know that blood tests after injections are considered pointless but

best anesthesia for knee replacement surgery ?
Greetings… I experienced my first struggle with daily RLS after 2 emergency gallbladder surgeries in 2021. My RLS lasted 10-12 horrible months post op… a short time still I’m aware, relative to the experience of so many sufferers on this forum. Apparently I am one of the lucky ones for whom only daily

After 6 transfers, (8&9) embryos I had my first ever positive on OTD. It wasn’t the strongest line but did get slightly stronger over the few days. Just tested today and it’s gone back to being faint. blood test tomorrow at the clinic tomorrow but I already know it’s over. I couldn’t help but feel
