I’m on the usual cocktail of meds following my HA - bisoprolol, ramipril, ticagrelor, aspirin, atorvastatin & lanzoprazole. I also take levothyroxine and fluoxetine but have been taking those two for years I’m finding that my sense of taste has changed quite a lot. In particular, wine tastes really

Golden Milk
My husband has developed an arthritic hip and is keen to try golden milk. It is a mixture of turmeric, ginger, black pepper, non dairy milk and honey. It can also have cinnamon added. I'v got an arthritic knee in addition to AF, and he's keen for me to take it as well. I'm a bit dubious. I'm on

Is it good news?
My diabetes nurse complimented me on maintaining good sugar control, however my blood pressure was slightly elevated. Referring to her computer screen, she notes that I am already at maximum dosage with my Ramipril and suggested an additional pill. Agreed to refer back after three months of trying to

Despite being on 10 mg of Ramipril and 175mg thyroxine.. both taken in the morning ... I can't understand why my blood pressure should be so high..I regularly walk for an hour and a half everyday and run up to 10 miles every Saturday without any effort... I've also started a pure plant based diet from

Increasing tablet dosage
Hello my Husband was diagnosed with HF and AF back in August, amongst other medication he was given Ramipril 2x2.5 daily. This week the Gp said the hospital wanted an increase of an extra 1.25 mg Ramipril , also as his mood is low a sertraline 50mg x1 was given. Since then his already very poor appetite

When tapering Pred which other meds should taper?
My mum (recovering from GCA) is currently tapering from a 60mg dose of Pred - 10mg reduction every 2 weeks, it will be down to 30mg on Sunday but nobody has advised us to reduce any of the other 10 different types of medication that she is on, including a high dose of Omeprazole - 40mg per day. Alcohol and stopping due to HF
My husband has been a drinker averaging 6 cans a night for around 40 years. In Aug 2019 he found himself in hospital with swelling up to his abdomen and extreme coughing and breathlessness. As he hadn't visited a gp for 25 years , you can imagine this was a huge shock. Basically his diagnosis was heart

What an amazing Christmas it has been this year, family didn’t expect me to still be here for this!
However this evening is the first time I’ve ever taken some bisoprolol along with the ramipril & atorvastatin. Should make for some good dreams huh?
