High, rising Lp(a) and CAC but low LDL
So I was prescribed 10 mg Ezetimibe, but paradoxically my LP(a) has now shot up from 120 to 195nmol/l) 🙃 My diet,
exercise
and other meds - 5mg rosuvastatin - remain the same. I paid for a private consultation with a cardiologist, but unfortunately he was as bemused as I am.

Gastroscopy today
I guess what I'm asking is if this is a major setback, or if this can be overcome with all the good stuff[ I haven't had a drink in 5 weeks/no smoking for 3 weeks/starting to
exercise
and improve diet]. Thank you so much again, Everyone.

Here are some of the methods we tried:
having it in the house, never drinking during business hours, drinking only at parties, switching from scotch to brandy, drinking only natural wines, agreeing to resign if ever drunk on the job, taking a trip, not taking a trip, swearing off forever (with and without a solemn oath), taking more physical

Blinkered, or just not bothered?
But I think he's overweight, and doesn't
exercise
, and needs to change his lifestyle. But I'm the one worrying, as I'm concerned that nothing has changed, and I feel he's still at risk. He can't see it, and keeps telling me not to worry.

Not dying was a good plan, but how to navigate the future is the next challenge
Diet and
exercise
will no doubt always be core tools, but details matter when you don't have a lot of reserve capacity in your organs.

Back @ work full time and slowly recovering
I’ve been able to take small increments in doing more
exercise
and whilst I’m nowhere near what I was doing pre-diagnosis, I’m able to run, play tennis and yoga. I’m currently on 4.5mg of Pred and have to take vertigo tablets otherwise I go dizzy.

What could be causing weight gain when bloods are optimum?
Sadly though, about a year ago the weight started going back on, despite a healthy diet and daily
exercise
- I've never been so healthy in my life before) and I'm now two stones heavier again with the bulk of the weight on my tummy and top of thighs). Bloods look optimal and doc is puzzled.

swelling lower limbs
I have started a couch to 5K and managed a 5K in 30 minutes after a month of
exercise
. So I am really pleased. However recently I have noticed my calves, ankles and feet are showing signs of swelling. This fluctuates. I take a cocktail of meds.

Medication addiction
Most of my other symptoms have improved through diet and
exercise
. I question if the mucuna is actually contributing to worsening tremors during those off times, kind of like an addiction tremor when an addict is jonesing for another hit.

Chronic Hashimotos and long term side effects
I have always suffered from hypoglycaemia-type symptoms after any type of
exercise
(even pushing a shopping trolley!) but it is getting so much worse. My blood sugar remains in the normal range during these episodes.

Heart Rate Average Increased During Exercise
As expected after coming off the beta blockers I saw my
exercise
heart rise but then it steadied at around averaging between 135 - 142. In the last week I have seen the average rate jump up to 142 - 149 (the max is not much higher low 150's).

Fitness/Smart watches for monitoring sleep and thyroid symptoms?
, sleep quality/time, smart waking and logging of steps/
exercise
. Am I missing anything? Are these measurements accurate enough to be useful? Any other comments very welcome! I have an Andoid phone, if that's important...

Advice needed please
At my annual review, the asthma nurse said that I should be having 4 a year (which would be one every 3 months) I am overweight and trying to loose it by walking and doing
exercise
. This obviously means that I have been using my inhaler more. I’m at a loss at where I stand in regards to this.

Statins causing muscle and joint pain.
Not great for my
exercise
routine. I am aware and my GP confirmed that these can be side affects of Atorvastatin. My GP suggested there would be no danger in stopping the Statin completely for 2 or 3 weeks to see if that may be the cause of these issues.
