TOE (trans oesophogal endoscopy)
I have just had a TOE, which failed because I could not get the endoscope tube down, so will now have to have one under general anaesthetic. Has anyone experienced one of these tests and have you had any lingering effects in throat/chest after? Would appreciate any observations.

Also after the promise of a painless
endoscopy
which was a total lie , I’m opting for all the sedation I can get. 😟
Update:
surgery called saying previous abdominal /womb u/s scan has revealed some thing and I’m to speak with Dr Monday.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and up to 6 weeks ago the only digestive concerns I had was Coeliac Disease and a sliding hiatal hernia which was discovered at my

wtf is this
I’m in so much pain these days and waiting to see the GI doctor to have a colonoscopy and a
endoscopy
done at the same time . Unfortunately Kaiser is such an amazing hospital that I can’t be seen till mid march since they have to make a bigger time slot for me to have both procedures at once.

What to ask Endo?
The same tests found I had Coeliac although it was autumn before I got my
endoscopy
results and went gluten free. Other results from March 22 were: B12 403 ( 211-911), Folate >20 (>5.4) Ferritin 13 (10-291).

Infected Nasal Sore
I told her I had an
endoscopy
in February to ascertain whether there were ulcers on my vocal chords and there were no ulcers anywhere but I had a flare six weeks ago and still have residual mouth ulcers and this troublesome nasal one. Has anyone got any experience of such an ulcer?

silent reflux better
Straightforward oesophageal
Endoscopy
didn’t show reflux but was told the
endoscopy
was only really to rule out tumours etc but I coukd still be suffering from reflux. I tried an ACE inhibitor - same problems. I decided no more PPIs but it took weeks to adjust.

umbilical hernia with fat
I passed blood for 3 days and had abdominal pain for a year now, had blood loss from bowel end in April with excruciating pain so referred for colonoscopy,
endoscopy
and sigmoid and only found polyps in stomach that aren’t a worry or concern to cause bleeding.

loose stools & bleeding
It's worth noting that I underwent an
endoscopy
in 2017, which returned normal results. I'm motivated to unravel the underlying differences between the UK and Nepal that seem to trigger these loose stools specifically within the UK setting.

Indigestion post-ablation
I have spoken with arrhythmia team over phone and there was no sign of esophagus damage and GP I saw yesterday didn’t think I needed an
endoscopy
, thank goodness. So Ive been taking gaviscon at night and GP will prescribe something stronger if I want.

Clean endoscopy and colonoscopy but persistent gastric pain
I passed abdominal CT scan , ultrasound (all digestive organs ), female reproductive system,
endoscopy
and colonoscopy , relevant blood tests . All clean , all good. Had my heart checked out as well to rule out cardic problems. But this pain persists. Doctor does not know what it could be.

Violently sick
She has had an
endoscopy
and found that food is causing a blockage. They are not able to do another stretch. The doctor told her she needs to eat small amounts and to choose mainly fish and meat and to avoid vegetarian foods including vegetables.

Finally got FibroScan
Anyway the good news is no ascites and I had a normal colonoscopy and
endoscopy
last month with no varices. Also my bloodwork is normal. I guess I should count my blessings but I’m so depressed.
