Autoimmune gastritis/PA
I had an
endoscopy
yesterday, it revealed multiple ulcers and oesophagitis. I’ve been put on omeprazole for 8 wks then a repeat
endoscopy
to see if any improvement. I thought omeprazole inhibits acid in the stomach but I already have low acid.

Endoscopy & Pred.
I am having an
Endoscopy
this Sunday, my appointment is at 1pm, am not to eat for at least 6hrs previous to this, so have been wondering when I can have my 15mg Pred? Normally have this at breakfast, 8am, with porridge & toast.

Gastritis and anxiety
My dr told me to stop anything citrus, fatty or rich and if not better in 6 weeks, get another
endoscopy
done. It scares me because my grandfather died from stomach cancer years ago and my anxiety is amped from that. My dr thinks its from all the stress.

Undiagnosed Digestive Tract Symptoms w/Marfan Syndrome
That doctor referred us to a Gastroenterologist, who performed an upper
endoscopy
scope. There was some mild inflammation along his digestive tract and the doctor took biopsies. A few days later, a hepatobiliary scan (HIDA scan) was performed to measure the function of his gallbladder and liver.

endoscopy query..
has anyone had an
endoscopy
with the sedative injection and what was it like? I am worried that my general anaesthetic won’t go ahead (I suffer with severe anxiety so don’t want to be awake for any part of it) and I’ll be aware of everything going on!

I'm nervous about my Fibroscan next week
Three & half years ago I was diagnosed with non-cirrhotic portal hypertension due to blood clots (Myeloproliferative Neoplasm). I'd had a fibroscan then with a score of 4.6. However, this Easter I developed obstructive jaundice and my liver readings were up. My Jaundice went away after a couple of weeks

endoscopy done and dusted!
Thank you to everyone for their advice in regards to my worries about my
endoscopy
! I had it done today with throat numbing spray and sedative injection, and I don’t remember a thing! And I was found to have inflammation in my stomach, ulcers and slight bleeding so it wasn’t all for nothing! :) x

Finally sleeping without too much pain!
Had lots of test (CT, MRI, Gastric and Colon
Endoscopy
, Nerve test, etc) The doctors tell me anything..."it's from old age", "bad posture" to "There's nothing wrong with you." They even took blood test to see if I'm really having pain....Doctor said "the test shows you have a lot of pain". Duh!

Endoscopy and Aneamia
Doctor has referred me for an
endoscopy
to find the cause of my aneamia. I thought aneamia was not uncommmon with PMR, my medical herbalist friend said that all her patients with PMR are aneamic and it was due to the inflammation.

Interpreting Blood Test Results - Help Needed Please?
Hello, this is the first time I have posted here. I recently visited the doctor due to poor energy levels, achy limbs, dizziness, breathlessness, restless legs etc etc. My GP did loads of blood tests but the only clear red flags were ferritin and Vit D levels. I've been on 400mg of ferrous sulphate

What to do
Liver ultrasound shows cirrhosis but no ascites and
endoscopy
showed a few slightly enlarged veins but not enough that would require treatment. I asked her a few questions about my condition and prognosis.

Any ideas?
In the past 5 years I've had a lot of blood tests, seen gastroenterology, had an
endoscopy
and a colonoscopy, seen a dental consultant and had an ultrasound of my kidneys, liver, stomach, and reproductive system. I have a referral to urology to check a cyst and a referral to rheumatology.

Strong antibiotics and HepB
Yesterday I had an
endoscopy
and they found helicobacter pylori present in my stomach. The treatment will be a course of antibiotics for a couple of weeks I think. Would I be harming my liver further by taking the antibiotics as I have chronic hepatitis b?
