I have had two of them both without any anesthetic the second one I didn't feel any discomfort and had no problems afterwards with either of them. The thing is to try and relax and just think of nice things to take your mind off it
Thank you very much for your reassurance, I just wish my experience had been the same as yours!
hello there
Sorry you couldn’t manage it under sedation but can understand why as not pleasant? To reassure you though I had not throat/chest issues at all afterward so as you’re having a general you shoukd be fine - I went home the same day? Good luck with it
Thank you for your sympathy and good wishes – I must admit I didn't expect to have any problem with it, so slightly apprehensive to have to go through it all again (even if unconscious!).
honestly you will be fine? I was terribly scared but knew it was necessary to ascertain what was going on - I had cardioversion under general and was scared as very many years sine had one but forgotten how nice it was to be put to sleep and unaware and came round very quickly with no adverse effects
