anyone had any help from the symptoms of heartburn / indigestion from these in tablet form? Most of my symptoms are very episodic and apart from sometimes a burning sensation behind the sternum most of my symptoms aren’t classic Gerd. I have diagnosed eospogatis from an endoscopy and it isn’t cardiac as I have had Ct, mri (with stress induced) and angiogram and had thoracic aneurysm repaired

Eosophagatis I mean
Hi Rob, my advice is to take the anaesthetic if possible. I just had the throat spray but wouldn't advise it if you are able to have the anaesthetic. The procedure normally takes approx 2 mins but mine lasted 8 mins and it was not good for me.Everyone is different though and a big plus of not being anaethatized is you can go home after 30 mins, whereas you need to stay overnight if you take the anaesthetic.
Good luck with what you decide is best for you Rob.
Thanks for reply. I had the endoscopy nearly two years ago. I was really after advice on what people have tried and whether milk thistle was any good. Been on every PPI but none prevent it so it seems to be just dealing with symptoms. Talking of which do lots of people get quite a lot of pain not only behind breast bone but on both right and left sides of chest as well?
Hi Rob, I see, would the Iqoro device help? Not sure if it would but Google it and see.
I have not looked back since using mine. Takes months to work but it changed my life as I stated in my post. Have a look, hope you find some answers.
Hi Snauzer I have been using Iqoro for 4 months with little improvement so far. I am glad it worked for you.
Also noticed on your bio that you have stomach polyps. I also have multiple fundic gland polyps which does worry me as I was not offered any surveillance. Do you have regular endoscopy exams? I worry that the polyps may become cancerous in the future.
Hi Eton, I had the largest of my ten plus polyps removed and tested with negative results for malignancy. I was told I don't need more endoscopic unless symptoms got worse. It did take approx 8 months for my reflux to stop, I still get the occasional symptoms if I drink too much alcohol or eat fatty or spicy food but nothing anything like it was. Keep persevering with Iqoro 3 times a day and I hope you get some relief.
Many thanks Snauzer22. I will persevere. Do you use any anti acid meds? As well as reflux I have gastritis.
Hi Eton, yes I take omeprazole 20mg daily, my GP says because I also have hiatus hernia I make more acid.I also take other medications which are not good for the gut so it's tricky. Think diet and anxiety have a big part to play in acid reflux too, in my experience.
Sincerely hope your health improves soon.
