Endoscopy
I would like to thank you all for your advice and for sharing your experiences of having an
endoscopy
. I had this done on Tuesday and although a rather strange experience, the first one done! Reading and re-reading your experiences prior this helped me enormously. Thank you all so much x

endoscopy
is usually done when someone has had a colonoscopy and polyps removed , depending on the position of the polyps removed the
endoscopy
is done 6 months later to check all is well and no further surgeries is needed .

Does endoscopy replace colonoscopy?
The reason I'm asking, my doctor did a upper
endoscopy
on me and told me I didn't need a colonoscopy for the next 10 years and it sounded a little off to me. I was under the impression you needed a colonoscopy every 5 years. So does
endoscopy
replace a colonoscopy?

No endoscopy
I am sure the consultant by prescribing a beta blocker to help stop ascites forming but is it normal without an
endoscopy
first. It should be noted I was on a ventilator for 10 days for a non liver related infection and ultra sounds of the area taken regularly Have a great day. S.

Gastritis
Had my
endoscopy
last Friday.. my follow up (awaiting biopsies) I have mild erosive Gastritis which I understand can prevent B12 from absorbing? My Gastroenterologist says I haven’t got B12 deficiency ( before
endoscopy
) last test was 6 months ago!

endoscopy with vagal tachycardia
I am due to have an
endoscopy
exam but my tachycardia episodes are usually started with vagal stimulation. Even turning my head to the right or down can start an arrythmia which can last for hours. Has anybody else had an
endoscopy
?

colonoscopy and endoscopy concerns
I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
in 1 week. My last colonoscopy was 8 years ago and the two colonoscopies before that found nothing but hemorrhoids ( all colonoscopies were pre CLL diagnosis in Oct of 2017).

just diagnosed with cirrhosis
My fibroscan score was 14.1 The
endoscopy
, blood tests and ultrasound did not show bad results. I started getting these aches in my liver area after I had the fibroscan. Is this normal. Im afraid it started something.

Upper left pain …gastro update
I’ve just had an upper
endoscopy
and this showed mild gastritis. I’m very fortunate to have a great NHS doctor who listened to my concerns and supported me gaining assurances that there is nothing seriously wrong.

Pain after an Endoscopy
I had an
endoscopy
two weeks ago mainly looking to see if I needed any banding. I was lucky as this was not required and would not need another
endoscopy
for 3 years.

Irregular z line
Anyone had this on their
endoscopy
report? I was told I had mild gastitis,I have a small hiatus hernia although they didn't mention that, said that esophagus seemed ok and no inflammation, could the hernia cause an irregular z line?

He said we don’t deal with bands ( fine) but I will send you for a
endoscopy
. On the Mycare app he had written a letter to my Gp stating not to give B12 injections she’s just low! She’s obese! But will give me a
endoscopy
and take some biopsies!

Should I be concerned, or not?
He advised me to lose weight and reduce my cholesterol, requested an
