who’s had a endoscopy upper without sedation I can’t have sedation for many reasons but so scared to have this done any tips to get through it and is it as bad as it seems

Hi I've got to have another endoscopy but in my letter it says with banding my consultant never explained this to me or told me I was having it done I'm really worried about it can anyone explain it to me or have they had it done and how did it feel during and after many thanks

Had CT scan and endoscopy. Told tumour hasn’t spread, and medics anre aiming for a “cure”. About to have PET scan and another assessment endoscopy before being recommended treatment. Cancer isn’t new to me…prostate cancer in remission after radiotherapy. I’d welcome any advice.

What he did say was my platelets are low and I'm to have a endoscopy down my gullet has my veins could be either too thick or thin ( they won't know until they check) and they may have to be banded or I could bleed out?? Can anyone explain to me what this is??

I have many of the symptoms, and my fecal test and endoscopy showed inflammation. I also have 2 other autoimmune diseases. But he claims the inflammation is due to reflux and/or gastritis.

I'm 27 months I have had a failed upper GI endoscopy, a capsule endoscopy, an MRI scan, 2 CT scans and my bone marrow biopsy was cancelled. I've also had 9 or 10 negative Q-Fit tests. No further appointments at the hospital as my GP has been asked to monitor the Hgb and arrange transfusions.

I just had a colonoscopy/endoscopy done 3/3 and they found 2 polyps. One was 12 mm. I am very scared of finding out the pathology. I’m 37 with 3 kids and colon cancer runs on my mom’s side. I’m scared.

I had an endoscopy which found 2 small varices. I have just had another endoscopy today a year later and I have been told I haven't got any varices and everything looks normal. I was under the impression that varices didn't go away.

At that time I had an endoscopy which also found patchy erythematous mucosa & mild gastritis / duodenitis and normal B12 levels on a blood test. On my follow up endoscopy last week it was reported as Generalised Atrophic Gastritis Mucosa.

I have had two colonoscopy's, ultrasound, full body CT scan, Endoscopy and now a fibro scan. All of which to my knowledge have come back clear. The only thing I haven't had done is a liver biopsy quickly consultant is still reluctant to arrange. Failing that it's a referral to a hepatologist.

As I’ve recently posted I’m awaiting biopsy results from an endoscopy which showed generalised atrophic gastritis. What is the general consensus on taking medication / supplements?

Dr wants to do endoscopy in 8 weeks time to see if infection has gone. Won't blood tests, and lack of pain tell him that? What are the benefits of an endoscopy?

My GP is convinced I have endoscopy, gynaecologist not so convinced. He tried my son slynd, which didn’t help, bled all the time. Have just started dienigest (3daysago) and am waiting for a hysteroscopy. Been offered coil, but not sure? I just feel at a loss…fed up feet like I’ve been hit by a bus!

I have had barium meal and endoscopy which showed nothing of significance. I am losing weight week by week and am now under seven stone. I have a doctors appointment next week but just wondered if anyone else has had this and what resolved it. I feel like I am just withering away. Thanks

Hello everyone, Just wondering, those of you with reflux... how often have you had an endoscopy to check for Barrett's etc?

He’s had an endoscopy and a ct scan with no visible problems showing up. The belching is bought on by exertion and is getting worse. Eating seems to help. We are at our wits end trying to find a solution as it’s definitely getting worse. Any one out there experienced this?

I had an endoscopy previously to confirm Celiac disease and I recall I had inflamed gastritis back then so it’s definitely progressed. My recent endoscopy said H Pylori negative.
