Hi all I had an endoscopy done on Sunday which revealed a large ulcer on the upper part of my stomach. Although cancer was not actually mentioned in so many words the doc made no secret of his real concern. Further tests are to be done asap, ie xray this Saturday. I would dearly like to hear from people

MCTD turned from positive to negative
Just finish with my doctor’s visit. ANA is down and my mixed connective tissue disease marker went from positive to negative. The doctor thinks the hydro chloroquine is working and caused the change to negative. A year ago I reduced the dosage from 400 mg start up dosage down to 200mg maintenance

Can I still be celiac with two negative test results?
Hello everyone, I have been tested twice for celiac's disease and both times it has come back negative. I have had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and the results were said to be normal, although in that instance, they weren't specifically looking for celiac's. I have a sister and grandma who both have

Endoscopy HELP
My doctor wants to do an endoscopy on me. I don’t do well with sedation so I am thinking to go for it with just the throat spray! Has anyone gotten this with no sedation and just the throat spray? How was it? Tell me all about it! I am really quite nervous. I had a bronchoscopy without sedation but I

Confused about diagnosis
My calprotectin levels are over 400, which the GI doctor said indicates Crohn's or some other form of IBD, but the doctor that did the endoscopy and the colonoscopy found an almost healed peptic ulcer and said there are no signs of Crohns in my lower digestive tract and that I DO NOT HAVE CROHN'S. If

Endoscopy today
Mark had his MRI Brain & PET Scan Monday, everything came out ok🙏🏻. This is a mixed Blessing as for last 2 months he has had rapid weight loss and constant nausea. Very concerning to me and the Dr. Mark is having an Endoscopy today to check the lining of his stomach, as they said scans could possibly

How does gastroparesis affect the uptake of T3?
My stomach empties very slowly.. sometimes it just freezes and I get so dehydrated as no food is going down I have to go and get IV fluids. I take my T3 first thing on a completely empty stomach and again at about 2 after maybe a few mugs of herbal tea but no food. I then leave my vitamins until about

Mad anxiety
I’m so anxious about my stomach. My stools are all over the place at the moment and have been for the last 4 weeks, well formed/loose/diarrhoea/constipation. They are consistently a lighter colour, not yellow or orange but just a lighter brown, they always sink too. My doc has given me every test to

Recovery times ?
Hi, 6 week's ago (aged 53 and fairly fit being a postman) I underwent an endoscopic heart bypass at Kings. Recovery or scar and rib pain has been truly amazing however in the last couple of weeks I have pains in what I can only describe as my left boob. My brilliant rehab team say its nerve/ tissue damage

In a quandary!
Hi everyone, it’s a very long time since I last posted. I have managed to get down to 4.5mg Pred for my PMRGCA with a few stresses on the way when I had to pause for a while. My iron levels were down a bit recently so my GP put me on 200mg Ferrous Sulfate 1 daily and after a few weeks my iron levels

PBC still not ruled out!
Dear All As most of you are aware my story began last in July 2018 after routine blood tests for dizzy spells. My return bloods indicated weak but positive sign of PBC. The nursing specialist requested numerous blood tests, fibroscan and an MRI of my bile duct. My lovely consultant confirmed all results

18 month cough
Had a persistent cough. My doctor recently recommended an endoscopy. This showed significant soreness and hiatus hernia due to the coughing. The specialist recommended anti reflux meds, raise bed head a brick height, lose weight and live with the hernia unless it gets really painful.

Should I ask for PA test?
I’m not sure what to do. In 2016 I had low b12 reading and doc advised loading doses. I have recently had gastro issues and had an endoscopy which looked normal apart from slightly lax valve. I was diagnosed with Graves in 2003 treated with RAI in 2005. I’m worried about PA as Endocrinologist wrote

Cancer cells returned in juncture of joining, after total gastrectomy.
Had difficulty swallowing, yet again, so endoscopy requested. They took biopsies and sadly turns out cancerous cells have been found. CT scan thankfully did not find anything so PET scan was done today. Now got to wait 4-5 days for those results. I am wondering if the cancerous cells could have been
