i'm new here ....
I had a heart attack 3 years ago at 33.I am currently on Prolomet xl 50 mg in the morning and novostat 20 mg at night. While i was on Clopidogrel which i stopped taking 6 months ago , i used to suffer severe heart palpitations. Echo, ecg had no variations. After repeated test I was advised Sompraz d 40 mg . It controlled gastritis which eventually gave some relief from palpitation . It was all fine up until a couple of weeks ago, the problem has started again. But this time I still have palpitation inspite of taking Sompraz D. Gastric symptoms like winding, belching, burping doest seem to stop at all. I consulted gasteroenterologist, undergone endoscopy and he diagnosed erosive gastroduodenitis and prescribed lanfill 60 mg, sompraz l and rixmin 400 . It kinda helped but only till i finished my course. I now have this feel as if my food is stuck, im trying to burp it out while im still having palpitation. Has anyone else gone through this before ? Im worried if this could be atrial fibrillation Or should i consult and continue with gastro specialist. My cardiologist has nothing more to say other than continuing the medication ,and ofcourse fitness
