What kind of tests do I need?
Have very itchy skin, mainly on the forearms since about May. Only ice packs seem to give short term relief. Fexofenadine helps a little but does not eliminate itching. About 50% of the time my poo floats but of normal colour. Feel a little under the weather. Had some digestive issues last year (nausea

Further to my specialist appointment yesterday I got a chap on the door today from a taxi driver who handed me a large white envelope with my name and address on it. I opened it to find it was my appointment for an Endoscopy next Wednesday. Panicking even more now!

Question about imaging and biopsies
I was diagnosed in May with Stage IV de novo breast cancer to my GI tract after two different endoscopies showed cancer in two places in my stomach from the biopsies. They did two endoscopies to be sure, and I’ve had a second opinion on the pathology. All imaging, including PET/CT, mammogram, ultrasound

Diagnosis Query
I’m hoping someone can help me with a diagnosis conundrum. My friend’s 16 year old daughter tested positive for the Coeliac Disease antibodies EMA and tTG (photo attached). She’s just had the endoscopy done and the doctor apparently said he couldn’t see any sign of CD. Biopsy results won’t be available

Cirrhosis, Diabetes now Pancreas
Following my recent post I had my appointment with the specialist today. Apparently my blood test showed up a problem with my Pancreas. Within the next two weeks I have to have an endoscopy and a MRI of my Pancreas. I am getting to the end of my tether with it all. More waiting and worrying.

Really struggling with possible IBS
Hello, sorry if this is a bit long but I am suffering so much at the moment I'm finding it nigh on impossible to have any sort of normal life. For the past two years, I have been having odd IBS like symptoms, but up until about 6 months back it wasn't troublesome really, just the odd sudden bad trip

Can you ever be compensated again if you have varices ?
Good morning, hope you are all as well as you can be right now. I have been a bit down in the dumps all weekend following a disasterous job interview on Friday. I normally manage to stay fairly positive but definitely got the blues at the moment and have been fretting a bit about my health. I actually

Cirrhosis as a result of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) - does anyone have any experience of this?
Hi Everyone, I was recently diagnosed with "early stage cirrhosis secondary to Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease" and today I had an endoscopy which showed several (non-bleeding) varices. I was chatting to my brother this afternoon about my diagnosis and tests and he just happened to say "do you remember

IBS pain under left ribs
Who gets pain below left rib? I had xray, scan, colonoscopy and endoscopy plus gallbladder removed 3 months ago. But I still have IBS flare ups and often the pain is in that area. They told me it was referred pain from my gallbladder but now thats been removed so I cant blame it on that.

Diet during treatment
I'm in the middle of my b12 injection treatment, having completed 7 daily injections and two injections once a week. I'm positive for intrinsic factor blocking antibody, and we're confirming whether I have PA with an endoscopy in the next weeks. My question: What should my diet be at this point? Balanced

Stem cell transplant for Myelofibrosis
After 12 years with PV and then 2 years with MF I explained in a letter to my consultant that were the decision to have a transplant entirely mine it is what I would wish for. I'd been on Jakavi for a year and it had ceased to help. I then went onto the Pacritinib trial which curtailed night sweats

Hello Everyone. I have similar problems like many others here. Everything started a year ago with pain in the right lower quadrant of abdomen and diarrhea for like a month and then I never had diarrhea like that again. On January I had a fresh blood in my stool for like a week. Went to GI, they did CAT

Has anyone's child had an endoscopy or scan?
Hi everyone, I've been a member here for a while but haven't logged on lately. I have an 11-year-old with long-standing chronic constipation with overflow soiling. The soiling has been happening since she was toilet trained at 3. She had a 6 month period under the continence clinic when she was 7 and

Silent Reflux after Lung Surgery for Early Cancer
I had a right lower lobectomy in February. My consultant is pleased with my recovery and I am now just being monitored. However after this surgery I had symptoms develop that lead me to now believe I have silent reflux or LPR. I've had an endoscopy that found only mild gastritis. I take Esomeprazole

Silent Reflux, or maybe not??
Do any of you good people recognise my symptoms and if you do, I'd be really grateful if you could offer any advice. My symptoms are that I feel as if something is coating or lining my throat and I want to clear it, quite often. It's not like a lump but having said that I do get a sensation of a slight
