Hi everybody. I haven’t written in a couple months until I knew what was going on with my tests my I have been checking in here daily to gather info which has been so helpful!

My initial posts I was suffering so much pain and completely freaking out. Since then I’ve had a clear ultrasound. I’ve had an endoscopy which showed gastritis. Clear catscan (abd and pelvic). Well, the catscan said “unremarkable” liver. Whatever that means.

Basically I’m writing bc even though I have all these ok results I’m still freaking out. I did have a stillbirth in January and all the symptoms happened a week after I delivered her so all doctors say it’s post pordum. But I had a binge a week after that bc I couldn’t handle emotions. And no doctors will take me seriously about my drinking.

And also I had broken out in March with pin sized dots on my chest and they all say it’s little broken blood vessels which is common for aging and all my other tests are clear. I just desperately need advice.

Hi Dubac

Firstly I'm so sorry to read about your still birth in January which I can only guess was an excruciating experience for you which you maybe still trying to come to terms with if your still drinking.

Your unremarkable result means your fine so dont worry.

Can I ask have you mentioned your drinking concerns to any family members or friends as I'm feeling you really need someone close at your side to help you through this sad period of your life!

You know drinkings not a good road to be going down if your using it as a way to cope with your sadness, but I do suggest you try your best to reduce your intake or totally stop all together to avoid going down a bad road any further.

There is another alternative and thats to speak with one of the advisors on the British Liver Trusts helpline who are there to help ! Why dont you give them a call?

I'm sure your aware by now that were all here to help you, so note your not alone so try not to leave it another few months before you contact us again as you need friends around you at a times like this.

Take care of yourself and eat healthy as you need your energy too!

Love Trish x

Dubac1620 I totally sympathise with you. So sorry for your loss. I've had pain for I'd say a year now and people seem to have lost interest when I try to investigate. Gp's checked my liver, said no and sent me on my way. I've quit drinking just in case but it would be nice to know what the actual cause is! From one undiagnosed person to another...you're not crazy, your pain is real, and it does have a diagnosis but clear tests so far are definitely a good thing so try to relax xx

Hi Dubac, I am so, so sorry to hear of your sad loss. I can't imagine the pain you are going through in your bereavement.

I can fully understand the reason for your binge, but you should see your GP, and demand that they refer you for alcohol counseling, they can't ignore you!!!!!

AA is not for everyone, but that is another avenue to explore. from what you say about your test results, you have a good chance of improving your liver, but it will require you to give up alcohol for good. Sorry if i sound a bit preachy, but I found out too late, and now suffer with a permanently damaged liver, so I don't want others to fall into the same trap

I hope you get the treatment you need very soon,

David
