Cirrhosis, Diabetes now Pancreas

Following my recent post I had my appointment with the specialist today.

Apparently my blood test showed up a problem with my Pancreas.

Within the next two weeks I have to have an endoscopy and a MRI of my Pancreas.

I am getting to the end of my tether with it all.

More waiting and worrying.

Hi, You must feel fed up with all of this going on. At least now things are moving for you and you are being checked out. Better than a week ago when you were feeling so frustrated going back and forth to your GP and felt that you weren't getting anywhere. You will find out now if there is a problem with your pancreas and what it is and you will receive treatment or medication for it if there is a problem. Best to know and then move forward. Wishing you all the best and hoping for the best results for you. Alf

True Alf as you say I can deal with the illness if they can find the cause.

Yes, the worst is not knowing. Thank goodness that your specialist contacted you and you didn't have to wait for that appointment next year. At least you will know in a couple of weeks or so.

Hi, I was diagnosed with cirrhosis over a year ago and have had every test that's available and still don't know the cause. My specialist told me that we may never find the cause!!

You are very welcome. 😄, Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

I am so sorry praying for you 🙏. I know the feeling. Just had MRI and they saw 8mm of pancreas body and head no idea. Also said nonspecific. Ughhh. I just posted that above earlier. There is blood work for pancreas?

Thank you I am at the point I just want to know what is causing all the pain and problems. I honestly feel I could deal better with issues even if it's bad.

Have a CT scan booked for Tuesday night so hopefully get some answers.

You take care and thanks for your kind thoughts.

Hi, for what it is worth

had similar issues myself but also factor in potential gallbladder and AFIB,

The more I engaged with the GPs and medical professionals the more I realised the are just using a tick sheet of symptoms and solutions

My stress factors were off the scale.

Worry and trepidation all the time.

Eventually stopped all and listened to my own body, not the GPs.

Stress yields cortisol and wreaks havoc on the whole body.

If you follow the rules

No alcohol or only within restricted guidelines

Cut back on smoking, if you can.

Stop salt and in my case artificial sweeteners in some unsuspecting food stuff.

Try and eat a balanced healthy diet. Processed foods a no no if you can avoid do so

Drink lots of water

Excercise as much as possible.

'STOP' worrying, take deep breaths and think of tomorrow is better day.

Do the doctor thing it does no harm except mostly make you fret unecessarily.

Take pain meds only if absolutely necessary.

Your body will eventually reset itself

The doctor's cannot really help with

Liver, pancreas, gallbladder, heart, high blood pressure , except with renewal or removal , not an area you want to discover.

Only you, time, effort can solve the above

Just think positive, STOP worrying it is one of the worst things you can do.

Whatever will be will be

Wishing you all the best

xxx
