Colonoscopy Whilst on Steroids
Hello Again! I am wondering if you could let me have your opinions before I speak to the endoscopy unit. I am having a colonoscopy later this month. I know how to live! 😊 My question is, on the day prior to the procedure, I am allowed a light breakfast - which is when I would normally take my 3mg

My Reflux and other things that are TMI
So since I couldn’t hold down food or water since Monday afternoon, and since it hurt like hell and yesterday I knew something had to give and I needed fluids, I went to the ER. Short story, got an endoscopy which showed an esophageal and pyloric stricture. They dilated my esophagus and I can drink again

So fed up
I used to have IBS C with pain and managed the condition with no problem at all. I had food poisoning back in November and since then I've had IBS D and nausea as well as indigestion at times. After clear tests results from Colonoscopy, Ultrasound and Endoscopy plus bloods I was no better. I saw a Nutritionist

Elevated B12 but no evident reason
Hi. I am 27, male. In January this year I visited the neurologist for headaches (eventually turned out it was neck muscle tension and they disappeared) and I was requested to do (among others) a B12 blood test, which read 1040. The doctor wasn't concerned so I forgot about it. In June I repeated it and

Weight Problem
Does anyone have a problem with weight loss and not being able to gain weight. I suspect my husbands Mycophenolate for this as have read it causes stomach problems. He has just had an endoscopy and they found a stomach ulcer and other lesions and have taken biopsies. He is 3 1/2 yrs post transplant.

First time endoscopy, sedation or no sedation?
I have an upper endoscopy booked in for tomorrow afternoon and was wondering whether or not to have the sedation? For anybody that has had the sedation I was wondering how long it takes to wear off, for example if I have it tomorrow afternoon will I feel ok to eat that night, and drowsy at work the next

Sigmoidoscopy done... what now
I just had a sigmoidoscopy done because my bowel symptoms were what concerned my doctor the most, there was a bit of bleeding up there but nothing too concerning and it was the first day of my period so I usually get a bit bleeding out my ass when I'm on anyway but the ladies at the endoscopy unit basically

Can anyone help? I have an appointment for Endoscopy on 23rd August. I am taking Warfarin and am worried about bleeding. Also if they take a biopsy. Has anyone had this done while on anticoagulants. Its scary. Thanks.

After effects of food poisoning
I suffered food poisoning back in November and have had a bad tummy ever since plus a skin rash. I've been getting a lot of nausea and diarrhoea which is a lot better than it was. The doctors have been brilliant and I've had a Colonoscopy, Ultrasound and Endoscopy but they all came back clear. A friend
