Brain/gut it's anxiety but I just read a study from Harvard med that said people with anxiety disorders have different gut bacteria. Try a probiotic and make sure it has all 14 strains in it. There is one called Keifer and just a spoonful a day helps. Not the best tasting but it has regulated me sorry. But unless it is that time of month my loose stool is far and few and the pain isn't there unless I have really ate something bad. Hope this helps. Good luck and gentle hugs!!

I have a similar thing going on, but I put it down to my back muscles being so tense and tight, it's pulling on the muscles in front of my stomach, upper stomach just below ribs. It makes sense as it's all connected!

I’ve had epigastric pain for 2.5 years. It’s tenderness, unrelated to eating/BMs. It used to be that I’d wake up ok and feel worse as the day went on, but it’s always there now. I’ve had 3 abdominal ultrasounds in that time which revealed nothing. Labs are always fine. Today I had an abdominal CT, and I’m scheduled for endoscopy in February. I had a barium swallow which showed gastritis, but I have been on a PPI since then (8 months ago at least) and it hasn’t helped. I’ve seen a physiotherapist for the tension that’s in that area to see if it’s all from chest gripping. Sometimes I truly think that’s what it is, but I can never seem to get it under control. I have a constant background thought that I’m sure it’s cancer and I’m going to leave behind my husband and 2 small children. One of them has special needs and I can’t imagine how my husband would manage alone (the pain has been there since before I got pregnant with her, otherwise I’d probably equate this all to the stress that we’ve been through since her birth - but nope. I wasn’t really under a lot of stress when it started.

Some days I convince myself that it’s nothing. Other days I’m sure I won’t see the end of another year. It’s so exhausting.
