Here I go again. I have been having lots of symptoms. I had my yearly at the Mayo. My liver specialist told me what ever is going on with me has nothing to do with my liver. He said that my liver is as healthy as someone without pbc/aih.
The following day I had my three year colonoscopy/endoscopy. I knew it as soon as Dr said it. There was going to be a problem and there is.
More precancerous polyps was found with colonoscopy. My endoscopy showed two firm nodules. The nodules are on the outside growing in. The Dr couldn’t biopsy because of location. I’m waiting for the scheduling department to call me. The Nodules are firm and don’t move. I know what that means, or do I. The word lymph nodes was used. Anyone else have this, or is it just me. Dr said they were small.

I had a colonoscopy in 2019. A few small polyps and one larger, which was precancerous. I had another colonoscopy in 2022. More polyps. My GI said it can take several years for a polyp to become cancerous. I do not wait the recommended 5 years between colonoscopies since I always have polyps. And there are different kinds of polyps, none of which I totally understand. I hope all goes well for you.
I meant to ask, did you get a copy of your pathology report? My GI sends my full report on his findings and also the pathology report. Then I start researching what I don’t understand.
Two days after the procedure, I received the report. I am concerned/anxious about the nodules and their location. I always read that firm none movable lymph nodes mean cancer. I am hoping that someone in the group had something similar that has a good outcome. Yesterday I my findings was reviewed to me. The Nurse Practitioner said that the Dr doesn’t know what they are without biopsy. She used the word nodules. I have too much stress in life. It’s chronic. I need peace and I’m not going to get it with the family that I have.
I’m sorry. I’m surprised they didn’t biopsy when they saw the nodules. Maybe there was a reason. I understand the stress is difficult to bear when we have our health issues. God made us strong.
sorry to read your post, hopefully you have caught this early as the doctor has said they are small. It is always a worry when such words are used I hope you will not wait long for the scheduling department to call. best wishes
Hi Jenny, firm nodules that don't move could be cancerous. However, if they are caught in time and still small, the success of them being fully removed with no further treatment required is very high. Best of luck to you!
Normal lymph nods usually feel rubbery and movable. But, maybe there are times when they could feel harder. Biopsy will tell for sure. I hope it comes back normal!
Hi Jenny, I haven't been on here for a while. So sorry to here about other health issues your having. Please let us know what happens. This all sounds so scary. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers.
