eosinophilic esophagitis
I had an endoscopy done and results showed I have eosinophilic esophagitis. I was told my anti acid/gerd medication I was on Protonix was not helping me so was prescribed Omeprazole. Has anyone had this and what did you do to get better? Also, did you find what foods caused it to happen?

Bad Petechiae rash after Endoscopy
Had a traumatising experience with an Endoscopy 2 days ago..Immediately after the procedure (that I just about made it through) My face swelled, particularly under eyes, my skin was scarlet & prominent rash. My throat also became swollen (I just had the Throat Spray, no Sedation) & I now have ulcerated

Follow up Endoscopy for Cirrhosis
My husband has his first follow up endoscopy next week after having Decompensated Cirrhosis almost 2 years ago (was meant to be sooner but had to chase up). He had 2 varices which they put bands on initially (one burst after food poisoning, they were surprised they didn’t find more). He is really anxious

Stopping medication
Hi everyone, I am really desperate with what to do next as nothing works for me. I was finally getting NDT and had so much expectation from it. I was fine for few days and then my stomach started to hurt that bad that I couldn't bed down. I email my specialist and ask what to do . He said to stop and

blood test results
Finally had my blood test results can anyone tell me what they mean please in terms of not having an endoscopy as I am not seeing a gastroenterologist so it’s kind of annoying really.

Blood test
So I had a blood test not long ago and have tested for Coeliac disease and it came back as I have it, I do not want to have a endoscopy I am absolutely petrified do I have to have one or can I have another blood test. I really don’t want one and just want to go gluten-free and get on with it.

NHS failing
Well being diagnosed with Cirrhosis 22/09/2022, I had my first 6 monthly HCC scan 07/03/2023 I was strangely excited to see the hard work it had taken to lose 3 stone, completely abstain from alcohol, endoscopy exam clear & not a single symptom of my diagnosis! I was met with a STUDENT and the most uneducated

Something going on.
I had a telephone appt with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner at my GP's yesterday concerning my IgG results. She agrees that because they were very low, (0.3) when I was GF and tested without prior notice, and it increased when I am eating rye crackers, soup with barley and the occasional wheat free beer

Update on my post Confused
Well I did the endoscopy and colonoscopy last week. Am happy that they found nothing new just a suggestion for another in 10 years…Yea So the Gastroenterologist suggested Cholestyramine. I think it may be contradicted in kidney patients and people whom have had intestinal blockages. Wow… now to see

varices
I was diagnosed with Hep c 2020, now cured but have cirrhosis. Had endoscopy 2 years ago, no varices. my question is how long do they take to develop? Someone I know has tragically just passed away following a massive bleed and I can’t stop worrying now.

Faecal calprotectin 809 ug/g but normal bloods and past colonoscopy/ MRI normal
Hello Not sure if anyone can help, but I recently did aFaecal calprotectin test which came back at 809 ug/g. However all my bloods were normal including CRP. I also had a colonoscopy, MRI and capsule endoscopy in 2021 and all came back normal. So have been diagnosed with IBS- D by gastroenterologist

relentless IBS symptoms
From the moment I wake up to when I go to sleep I have severe IBS symptoms. In the morning I can have up to 10 large, loose, mud like bowel movements despite eating very little food the previous day. For the rest of the day I am cramping and bloating and pass small soft stools by pressing the down
