On holiday without meds
I’m currently on a Rhine cruise and have not taken any of my heart meds for four days. The usual cocktail of statin, beta blocker, asprin - five in all. Air France failed to transfer our cases at Charles de Gaulle in Paris, and although we can see them now at the airport in Munich (Apple AirTags)

Low ferritin
I was diagnosed with PV in November 2020. Initially, I had a few phlebotomies to reduce my hematocrit but thankfully I've passed my last three blood tests and haven't had one since January 2023. I take aspirin, a spoonful of cod liver oil and half a tin of grapefruit every day to keep my haematocrit

Runny nose - is it a side effect of meds?
Odd question but does anyone know if any of the standard meds prescribed after cardiac arrest can give you a constantly runny nose? Am on ticagrelor, aspirin, atorvastatin, ramipril, ezetimibe, bisoprolol and Lansoprazole.

Aspirin
Hi team, I take 75mg of aspirin every day and the medical world brush it off as a minor thing, nothing to worry about, but in the 3 years since I started I have had endless joint pain, blocked up stuffy nose every day and breathing weirdness, like short of breath, I wondered if I had some sort of allergy

Coming off of medication?
Hello, My husband (age 46) had a heart attack in December and had a stent fitted in his LAD artery. The surgery went well, all other arteries were clear, he attended the rehab programme and was coping well and was discharged. He’s on quite a lot of medication - aspirin, beta blockers, statins and ACE

Hi, I am undergoing tests on my heart and have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. The tests are not yet complete so I shall continue on 20 mg Rux and aspirin until they are. My haemotologist thinks it has not been caused by the Rux but maybe PV.I would like to hear from anybody else who has

Kidney blood test
Hi all I 39, workout 3 times a week, don’t smoke or drink alcohol and I had a SCAD heart attack 2 weeks ago. Completely shocked but I’m being positive. I’m now on dissolvable aspirin and Ramipril. I take the aspirin at lunch and Ramipril at night so well away from my T3 and T4 which I take first

Feeling dizzy during gardening
Hello fellow hearties. Quick question, when I kneel down, stand up, kneel back down, stand up etc, shuffling along to the next patch of weeding, over time I begin to feel more and more dizzy. I know this is a perfect excuse not to kneel down to do the weeding but does anyone else get the dizziness? I

APS and leaky gut
Hello all, I am writing regarding my daughter who has APS. She has been taking rather large doses of Coumadin for about 20 years now. She eats a very healthy mostly vegetation and mostly organic diet. She has recently had a blood test that revealed a severe sensitivity to very many types of food.

I have ET and am on Hu and aspirin. Hu 4 days x 1000 and 3 x 500. I’ve noticed what seems to be unexplained bruises appearing. Is this a common side effect?

Bad feeling after exercise on Clopidogrel
I have had stents fitted 6 months ago and are now on DAPT Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Atorvastatin. I get a really heavy in the body and light headed sensation after moderate exercise by increasing my heart rate by 40% for as little as 7 minute with 2 minute cool down. It does not feel healthy or what I would

Statins
Hi, new member here, 60yo. Cholesterol 5.1 overall, CT scan showed potential CAD - echo and possible angioplast to be done in due course. I've been told in no uncertain terms I have to take statins. I'm not overly enamoured about that as there seems to be so many varying studies; some say they'll give
