Strange business this pred drug. (Another Rant š¤)
As I see it doctors seam wired with it. Docs seam frightened to death with side effects. Itās a shame really as to me it is a inexpensive wonder drug . There are lots of drugs far far worse, that know one gives an hoot about,we all know lots. We could do with a protest March / demo . Two really

My symptoms
On the 7th of December 2021 I was sleeping on my right side. Thinking about wirk, good thoughts, earlier to this I felt thirsty thought I'll go down in an hour but when I turned on my back, I felt so dizzy, like I was spinning, all I could see was black and myself spinning. After that my heart felt it

Some drugs not weight based
I got the idea for this because I had just read about two people on here who got violently ill from taking a bone med injection. Some drugs that are not weight based, like flu and covid vaccines, which are made for overweight people as well as thin people. Or, one could think of it as made for a man

When is your Anniversary ??
I was reading Geoff's post on his anniversary and I wondered who on the Forum can better this !!! 1982 Heart Attack aged 34 Nothing not even an Aspirin for Medication. 2015 My GP thought I seemed a little short of breath, ECG and referred to Cardiology.. Routine tests carried out all in the same

Pradaxa Ahead Of Scheduled Cryo Ablation
I have been scheduled for my first Cryo Ablation in March for my paroxysmal AF and my EP wants me to start taking Pradaxa 30 days before. My Cardiologist has had me on Aspirin for the past 2-3 years. My ChadVas score was 1 but for the past year is 2 and I've never taken a blood thinner before. My question

Anybody take two baby aspirins each day?
Hi all, Iāve been having a few symptoms with PV (cold feet, dizzy spells) despite fairly normal bloods. Currently on aspirin and monthly venesections. I asked about doubling aspirin last appointment and the doctor said not to do that. But today a different doctor suggested I do it without me asking.

Tooth extraction
Thanks everyone for your help and advice. Brilliant as Usual. Getting tooth taken out next Friday, so stopping Aspirin from tomorrow, also taking an antibiotic, should be finished the seven day course by Thursday. The gold crown as I said had been in for over Forty years so not bad going š parting

Tooth Extraction š„“
Hi my friends, any advice as to what to do !! I have been told today that I am going to have a tooth extracted, originally had a gold crown on the tooth, but over the last few years it has eroded the tooth underneath and I now have a very bad infection which has also done damage, my dentist has removed

Hydroxy or just aspirin for ET?
I am 78 with diabetes diagnosed two years ago. Two months ago I was diagnosed with ET, CALR positive and prescribed low dose aspirin and hydroxy. Platelets were gradually increasing to around 600 and haem wants them down to less than 400. It seems from this forum that many patients, probably younger

Informed, thanks to you
While I donāt want to waste your precious time, I do so want to reach out and say, although new here, I have read practically everything that gets written here. Some of you feel like friends. But on hearing the passing of Frank (Big Ted) I feel the urgency of expressing my deep gratitude towards this

My Cataract Surgery (Laser) is in 2 weeks
Just wondering from those who have had cataract surgery and taking aspirin and blood thinners, were you told to stop these prior to surgery. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Second opinion
Although my bloods were consistently up, and going up, my first haemotologist said he was very surprised at my BMB result of ET. He also told me he is an optimist, while putting me on daily asprin, a plan to watch & wait. At the outset of Covid in February 2020, he sent me of on my merry way while saying
