coq10 use for statin muscle pain
Hi , wondering if anyone has experience with taking CoQ10 with a statin as well as blood thinner, specifically Plavix? Prior to having a stent placed in April, I was on a statin only and have read that you should take CoQ10. My cardiologist said take it or don’t take it it doesn’t really matter. It’s

Sensitive: No symptoms anxiety after bfp
Hello! I had a faint line since dpo 9. The line seems to progress well. I opted to not know my hcgs this time, as it sent me spiralling last time. I've not had a single symptom since dpo 9 when I had a headache in the evening prompting me to test. I have had 3 losses at 5-7 weeks last year, and I'm so

10 weeks in, not feeling great
I am a 57 year old woman, and had an Nstemi 10 weeks ago, and one stent fitted. I am on 2.5 bisoprolol, tricagrelor, 10 of ramipril, 80 statins and also aspirin. My ejection fraction was poor at 45 (which I found a bit upsetting when it transpired I was the lowest in the rehab class) I was on HRT before

Dangerous Supplement. Mucuna Pruriens. Dangerous side effects you must know.
Unregulated, no quality control, and may contain toxic poisonous contaminates. Lead, heavy metals, mold, fungus etc. Dosage is impossible to manage. Counter reaction to carbidopa levodopa is unmanageable and unpredictable. Makes combining it with real Parkinson's medications a night mare. Maybe just

Macrocytosis
I am 68 year old female with ET, JAK2V617F. Diagnosed in Dec. 2022 with blood only, no BMB. I take a baby aspirin and 500 mg hydroxyurea 5 days a week. Along with that diagnosis, all kinds of wacky things come up in a category called "morphology." One is Macrocytosis. I asked at my appointment with

Isosorbide mononitrate headache pain relief
Is there anything stronger for pain relief of headaches from isosorbide mononitrate? I’ve tried aspirin and paracetamol, but they haven’t helped much. Just wondering whether it is worth contacting specialist or not. I have very limited energy and don’t want to put myself through the hassle of phone

Sensitive / Surprise Natural Pregnancy - Anxiety triggered
Hi all, A long post so I hope you can stay with me! It has been a while since I’ve written my own post on here but I’m always following others journeys and comment when I feel I can offer some support from afar. A little background; I’ve experienced two miscarriages and went through 2 IVF cycles

bloods! low platelets, high haemoglobin???
As usual, I am not sure where to post this: Firstly I have antibet2glycoprotein 1 antibodies which thicken the blood. I should be taking a daily aspirin but often forget mainly becasue I am not motivated to as I also have low platelets. Will have been waiting for nearly a year to see my rheumatologist

Voice volume issues post ICU
Hello! I was in ICU in February. I thought I just had a bad cough… I’d lost my voice and thrown up and felt shocking and my GP told me it was viral and to take aspirin. Two days later, I was blue-lighted to hospital with Flu, severe pneumonia, strep A and sepsis. I went into septic shock and was put

Reduced JAK2 allele burden
I see so many posts where people discuss reduction in JAK2 allele burden. In particular how certain medications are responsible for that reduction. I know there has been a lot of discussion regarding the significance of a reduction. My question is, has there been any consensus among the world renowned

Possible stroke ?
Hi everyone I was discussing medications issues with surgery pharmacist yesterday. He asked why I was taking Clopidogrel (I am having serious oseophagal spasms) then said oh yes possible stroke. I am stunned no one has mentioned this to me. As far as I knew my GP moved me from aspirin to Clopidogrel

Feeling really low at the minute. Sorry this is a long one but just want to write it all down.
After Nstemi in March, I went back to work in April. Was feeling pretty good apart from a burning sensation in the chest area not quite every day. I am on the gold standard meds, apparently and the GP advised that my 3 months was up to and to stop clopidogrel on 14 June. Which I did. He increased my

Ttc with high tpo antibodies
I have had 3 miscarriages in the last couple of years. 1 spontaneous 2 mmc. Always around 6 to 7 weeks. I was given aspirin and progesterone on the last pregnancy but it didn't work. After my 3rd mc I had lots of investigations done and it showed I had high TPO antibodies. Everything else was normal.

ET and anaemia
I have ET with my platelets running at around 1200. I take aspirin, (another condition makes medication tricky). My last GP appt I had a blood test and I'm anaemic. This is the first time this has happened so its a bit concerning. Having them repeated so fingers crossed it will have been a blip
