I take bisoprolol as well as ramipril neither for high blood pressure. ( because of that I’ve struggled in the beginning with an overly low blood pressure). I’m taking them post heart attack cardiac arrest and subsequent arrhythmias and heart muscle damage. The bisoprolol helps protect the heart from adrenaline spikes in your pulse and ramipril helps any scarring on the heart to stay soft helping it to pump more efficiently
When getting travel insurance I put these medications under the treatment for heart attack and left ventricular heart failure.
If you've never have high BP then why do you need to say how many tablets you take ? Where you prescribed the bisoprolol for you heart?I had a similar problem.I was taking Adizem (Diliatazim )for my AF but it can or usually is prescribed for high BP.
As it was prescribed for AF I didn't declare it as a BP medication.
They are a nightmare these Insurance questions. We need an idiots guide.
That is correct. Bisoprolol is your only blood pressure tablet. For the sake of a few quid don't quibble with the insurance company. I declared 2 BP tablets and it didn't cost much.
