Hello everybody, my name is James and I'm 17. At the age of 15 I was diagnosed with Juvenile RA and AS. I have gone through multiple Nsaids and auto-immune medications. I have made the decision to stay away from pain medications and as of now the only medication I take is Humira injections once a week

Another episode
Ok it has happened again. I moved to a new community, and wanted to get established with a Physician. My headaches and neck / back ache and the burning feeling has returned. Upon meeting the doctor I explained I have Mollaretts meningitis and he said ( what is that). I explained it is reoccurring meningitis

Why dont doctors tell you about vaccines esp if you have lung diease and your immunity is compromised and what and if any are benerfits of them. Anyway table below shows which vaccinations you should have to protect your health if you have lung disease. Make sure you and your healthcare provider keep

Running with a cold/sore throat
Hi, do you carry on running with a cold/sore throat? I have had a bad cold and sore throat all week but if I didn't get some fresh air I think I would have slept all day! Wasn't sure I'd make a full 30 min run so tried the 20 min run from week 5. Have done that 3 times this week. Still snotty but

Treatment for 'pins and needles' pain.
My parathesia is sometimes bad enough to wake me in the middle of the night - when it feels as if needles are being slid under my toenails. Paracetamol doesn't help and I can't take NSAIDs (previous GI bleed). Codeine works wonders, but I daren't take it more than twice a week. I did a bit of research

Shingles Shot, ET and Hydroxea
Hi all, you have always helped me out so again I need to ask a question. I was recently diagnosed with ET but surely I have had this for a long while, my GP was concerned until I raised alarm buttons. Long story short went to the Hemo Dr, had BMB and scans and blood work and nothing showed but high

Hypo and Shingles
I had gotten shingles last year. That was shortly after my meds ran out. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. But it's worth being aware right? I really don't know how to use blogs so sorry if this is a wrong way.

Betain and gastritis??
Well following my previous post I was reading up on tests for low stomach acid etc and actually copied and pasted this :- 'Note: NSAIDs and Corticosteroids increase the chances of ulcers in the stomach and together with Betaine HCL increase the risk of gastritis. Consult a physician before trying this

Viral meningitis
I apologise in advance for this complicated posting. I am looking for answers, rather than sympathy. After 3 to 4 days of a headache gradually getting worse, my face drooping completely on the right side in the morning of day 4, on day 5 I contacted the GP surgery. The concern was, at age 67, I had

Shingles and Prednisolone
I have just come back from a tea party where the person I was sitting next to said that she had had shingles 'but was all right now'. It sounded as if it was very slight and hadn't lasted long, although she did say that she had had a rash, but no pustules. Should I really contact the doctor? I am inclined

I have been confirmed as having Mollarets meningitis/encephalitis
