12 week 800 plan ends
Since there is a post on here regarding Low Carbs I thought I'd check in. We completed the 12 week plan, I have lost 14kg and am 1 kg from my initial target. Mark has lost 14.7kg. Both of us really feeling and looking much slimmer. We've now moved to 5:2, still Med diet but 1600 calories on 5 days.

Homemade Chicken Burger and Chips
Tonight’s dinner - crumbed chicken, avocado, tomato and coleslaw in a toasted brioche bun swerved chips, cooked in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkled with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and rosemary. It was delicious, even if I do say so myself. My husband was pretty impressed too

Interesting twist of events
Hi, hope everyone is staying safe and well. We are again in lockdown and California looks to be pretty high on the exposure list. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as i can only imagine how tired health care employees must be. A good friend of mine recently tested positive as she was around

NIDDUK quote - link between diabetes type 2 and stroke
People with diabetes tend to develop heart disease at a younger age than people without diabetes. In adults with diabetes, the most common causes of death are heart disease and stroke. Adults with diabetes are nearly twice as likely to die from heart disease or stroke as people without diabetes.2.

Difficulty getting prescribed H2 Blockers.
I was prescribed Ranitidine when I was discharged from hospital last January 2020. This was then withdrawn and since, my pharmacy has not been able to obtain the substitutes which the doctors have subsequently prescribed:- famotidine, cimetidine and nizatidine. Does anyone know if these are now available

Teenage son has thyroid function slightly low
Testing showed he is just above the normal range however 2 years ago he was in the normal range for TSH so they say he has slight hypothyroid. I am trying to get the rest of his results sent to me as dr rang him with results so of course as a teenager he was very vague. Due to privacy laws he has to

BPPV Vertigo and Pernicious Anaemia
I keep reading in the posts about Vertigo. My question is does Benign Proximal Positional Vertigo BPPV have a connection to pernicious anaemia and Vit B12 deficiency? I have had bouts of it for the past 20 years and always thought it was due to a virus.

Restless Legs Syndrome
Restless Body Syndrome. Last night I had electric impulses going down my arms & legs, some seem to go from my brain through my heart which I find a bit worrying. I have peripheral neuropathy. Any feedback gratefully received.

Neuropathy symptoms variable?
Hi, When my monthly B12 injections were cut to every 3 months I developed a range of symptoms including peripheral neuropathy. I am still trying to get this situation resolved (my GP insists I will need to be seen by a neurologist which could take months so I may need to try self-injecting) but in
