Two years later from near death. PA, low B12.
Two years later after near death experience due to PA. Neuropathy still alive, but changing very SLOWLY and still making progression. I found out a website that sells ampules 5MG (5000ug A.K.A. micro grams) methylcobalamin the good stuff. http://balans-arnhem.ccvshop.nl/Webwinkel-Product-143400297

Not the news I wanted
Well - that’s a bit of a bummer - following my recent set of blood tests, I received a phone call from the surgery; in a rather too enthusiastic voice (I thought) I was told ‘you are officially diabetic......‘ ‘Your previous result was 48 and your last one was 52 - I’m putting that down as steroid-induced

Stretching
I keep forgetting to stretch after my runs. Week 2 1st run and my shins felt like they had pins and needles. This wears off during the run but I suspect its because I haven't been stretching. I don't want to have to give up so I'll try to remember. So far it's not been as bad as I thought. I hate running

Antihypertensive drugs & PCa-specific mortality
New study from Finland [1]. This topic has been raised before. "Antihypertensive drug use overall was associated with an increased risk of PCa-specific death (Pre-PCa: 1.21...). Determined to keep type 2 Diabetes free
One of my motivators to reduce my waist size and lose weight is not to tip into the type 2 Diabetes from being prediabetic. A weight loss buddy is aiming to reverse Diabetes so we cheer each other on.

Carbs/sugar
Hello Basten, been reading your post and replies. There’s a GP on twitter I follow; he’s had outstanding success reversing people’s diabetes, which was achieved by reducing their carbs. All the people lost a lot of weight and many reversed their diabetes or put it in remission and no longer needed their

Symbicort 100/6 for COPD?
Hi. I've just been prescribed this inhaler in place of Fostair. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2010 after initial confusion as to whether I had Asthma. The tests confirmed COPD not Asthma. Reading the package leaflet it tells me this inhaler is SPECIFICALLY for Asthma! It doesn't even mention COPD! In

Hello, me again! Following my initial blood tests, I went back for a glucose fasting test and they say it's too high @ 7.0 (they want it 6.0). BMI and some other snippets from a book I’m reading
I am reading a book called a Fat and Furious by Steve Bennett at the moment. There is a lot of information and challenges to the current, and past, weight loss assumptions with input from the likes of Dr Malcolm MacKendrick, Dr Jason Fung, Dr David, Unwin, Tim Noakes and many others. Some interesting

Hi everyone, so had my day 9 scan yesterday. Not amazing but as expected with my low amh ( have two big follicles at 12+/ five at 10+ which will hopefully catch up!) But as normal my lining is thin ( about 6 ) so I'm currently on... 1 avocado a day, lots of whole milk, ridiculous amount of fruit and

Newly diagnosed, feel really lost.
Hi, I have just been diagnosed today with type 2 diabetes and am totally clueless. Everything online seems so conflicting and I am scared to eat anything as I am unsure what I am OK to eat and what I should not be eating. Any advice would be great

Ropinarole
I was on ropinarole for 10 years and progressed from 1mg to 3mg and it still worked for my restless leg and the only reason I came off it was because I couldn't sleep and had heard of augument in relation to these tablets. Since I have come off them nothing else seems to work for me ie Gabapentin Pregabalin
