Sotalol
Has anyone changed their dose instructions ? I was originally prescribed Sotalol 40mg in morning and 40mg in evening. It's making me feel like a tired, worn out old zombie from the land of the living dead, on the other hand BP and HR are brilliant. Am planning to speak to my Surgery Pharmacist about

Metformin during pregnancy
I heard this dilemma so much around metformin, whether or not to take it during pregnancy. Is someone has pcos and insulin resistance, will it be better to continue metformin after conceiving naturally? Does it have any side effects? No one gives a concrete answer to this. Advices much appreciated

Appointment with Robin Fackrell
I have an appointment with Dr Robin Fackrell at the beginning of October. I am hoping that he will be able to assist with my restless legs, and with the peripheral neuropathy too. I am having problems with needing more ropinirol to keep the restlessness at a bay. I have had no success with Gabapentin

Ringing in Ear
Hi, I read this forum every day, and always have a takeaway from it about something I didn't know, so I'm hoping the group can help me with this new, delightful (ha!) ringing in my left ear that started about six weeks ago. I saw an ENT on Tuesday, and was diagnosed with Tinnitus. I had an audiogram

Diuretics
I have pretty severe edema in feet and occasionally legs.Is there a diuretic that does not trigger rls? I have tried Bumex and Metolazone. Had very bad rls soon after taking each one. I am on low dose Ropinirole -.9mg . It didn't even calm it. Appreciate any input.

I heard Hugo Rifkin interview Max Nieuwdorp about his newly published book"The Power Of Hormones"on his Times Radio Saturday review, yesterday. The author said that the future of thyroid replacement medication should lie in the method of diabetes insulin medication-ie continuous monitoring & administering

Raised Blood Pressure on Nifidipine
was previously on ramipril in order to medicate as stage 1 hypertensive and needed protection as had Thoraic Ascending Aneurysm. My BP on this averages around 120/80. The TAA was repaired last year with OHS. In order to counteract oesophageal issues I now take Nifidipine which is a calcium channel blocker

Nifedipine - how do YOU take it?
Hi! The rheumatologist I last saw has sent a vague instruction to my GP recommending that I take nifedipine “in the winter months”, but not specifying strength, frequency etc. This is to combat what I think is worsening Raynaud’s in my hands - permanently wrinkled fingertips as if I’ve just come out
