Blood sugar fluctuation in Hashimoto
I just was wondering if anybody with hashimoto experienced problems with blood sugar levels while on levothyroxine and liothyronine? I'm currently on 100mcg levothyroxine and 25mcg liothyronine. For some time I have noticed fluctuation of my sugar level that is getting worse. I have episodes when my

Choline / Eggs
New study below [1]. What we already know: i) PCa cells have an increased uptake of choline - hence the interest in radio-labeled choline PET imaging. Fluorodeoxyglucose (fludeoxyglucose) can't be used, since prostatic (including PCa) cells prefer fatty acids to glucose. (Sugar does not affect proliferation

Oh for a good poo
Hi everyone, One of my large orange-size ovaries is squashing my bowel and gradually blocking it up. I haven't been able to poo for several days. GP gave me Lactulose yesterday and I took 3 sachets last night before bed. Spent all night pacing up and down as I couldn't lay down because of the bowel

What causes the frequent Urge to Pee?
Having the constant urge to pee, even when you've just finished, is medically referred to as frequent urination or urinary frequency. On average, people empty their bladders anywhere from four to eight times per day. Most are able to control their bladder if the urge suddenly appears.

new and confused
I'm new here with many questions. I have no thyroid and wanted to know if I should be taking these supplements. I've never taken these many at one time but my new Doc says that I need them. I've been on Synthroid and Levo all of my life, but now recently taking a lower dosage of Levo and now on T3 6mcg

CLL...The book.
I'm looking for a volunteer or two to read something I've written. It all started out as a vague concept to keep a diary of my coming chemo experiences, something I intended 5 years ago but events took over. Not intending to let this happen again, I started to write an introduction to 'Diary from A

Toddler with high TSH
Update: My GP is minded to refer my son to a paediatrician regarding his high TSH, but only because his hair is moulting and he is constipated and not because his TSH is 6.5 and he is tired and lethargic all the time and complaining of being in pain - I couldn't follow the logic. It might take months

Can anybody relate? Medical vs anxiety?
So I have been doing okay last couple weeks ( not great but ok). These last couple days have been worse. I basically feel out of it with no energy ( kind of like a drugged sleepy feeling) till around noon then the drugged feeling gets a little better but I feel like my legs weigh a 100 pounds, dizzy

Low insulin normal glucose
My fasting insulin level is very low (below 2 mE/L). I measured it first 2 years ago and it was 3,9 mE/L (ref. range 2-29,1). Carbs intake was 200g per day back then, mostly from low GI foods, absolutely no sugars. Last week my fasting insulin was below 2 mE/L. These weeks I have been eating about

First post and results
Hi I have been hanging around in the background on the forum for some time now. But never had the confidence to post an introduction. Eventually forced myself to do that so here is a short summary of my medical history leading up to where I am now. Around 10 years ago I noticed a swelling on the left
