Sugar & Cancer ... again.
After responding to a sugar thread & denying that sugar feeds cancer, I had to chuckle when, a few days later, someone repeated the myth. It's a bit pointless chopping off a hydra head when a hundred more appear on the Internet every day. One would need to be a Heracles to kill the monster. I was

Reactive Hypoglycemia & Oesophageal Cancer Treatment.

Levothyroxine therapy and impaired clearance are the strongest contributors to small intestinal bacterial overgrowth
Given the prevalence of gut issues reported here, often (but not always) in those taking levothyroxine, I hope the existence of this paper helps. At least it is something to quote! Very interesting to know how adding liothyronine (T3) - or liothyronine-only - would be assessed. [i]World J Gastroenterol

I found out today my glucose levels are 'borderline'. Is there any hope of me not getting full blown diabetes? :(
Hello there. I've been having a high heart rate lately so my doctor reccommended some blood tests. I was surprised to be told by the receptionist at my docrors today that my glucose level is high and 'borderline'. This has given me quite the shock and I'm desperate to know if I turn to good nutrition

Got my chemo plan
Busy but good week. Had my port fitted on Wednesday and all good. Itches a bit but not much bruising and no stitches. All done with lasers but the smell of roasting flesh was a little disturbing. Had an afternoon with the cancer nurse on Thursday and was given my plan and then a tour of the chemo

Finding out a lot from requesting all my records!
My new liver doc has asked me to get all my medical records as he wants to look into my lab work going all the way back to 2010. I'm finding it very interesting that I do not have one lab drawl that is normal (although the ER here always says they never find anything! They always tell me everything looks

Glucose in urine
My urine sample showed +1 for glucose on Tuesday and due to reduced foetal movement I was sent for a growth scan. At the growth scan, a urine esample was taken again and my urine glucose was +4. I asked for a finger prick blood test but was denied this and I'm told to go in for a glucose tolerance test
