Circumcision Chafing
Im on day 9 of recovery and I am starting to experience chafing with my underwear. I do not want to add blisters to my recovery. Anyone have any recommendations to help with chafing? Also, is chafing a constant concern post circumcision?

PD Catheter
Hi, EGFR now dropped to 11, and PD catheter being fitted next week, followed by a Fistula soon after. Any advice on coping with Peritoneal Dialysis would be appreciated. Interested in whether I may feel 'healthier', or whether there is no real change.

Caregiver checkup
I ran across this Caregiver checkup on a Palliative Care site and thought I'd share it with the group. Sometimes I use tools like this as a scheduled self check up once a month as a way of checking in on how I'm doing, and if I'm coping worse, I take steps. See what you think about this tool and if

I fucked up. I regret getting circumcised.
For those who are currently dealing with phimosis, make circumcision your absolute final option. It is an unnecessary, outdated treatment to tight foreskin. There are way better treatments found today. I couldn't retract my foreskin so I met up with an urologist who told me to use some bethamethasone

Disclosing CKD
Hi everyone, I need some advice. I don’t know if I should disclose my medical condition to my employer. I was recently diagnosed with with CKD. I found out in June I had CKD. I only confided in one colleague. After my biopsy I found out I have Stage IV CKD, just last week. It is caused by IGA Nephropathy

Ejaculate too fast during sex ( post circumcision )
Hey guys quick question. It’s been just been over 4 weeks since I’ve been circumcised and I had sex the first time. Doctor said 4 weeks and I’ll be good and recovery has been great. But during sex there is a hypersensitivity in my glans and I can’t control ejaculation. I’ve always had this problem and

Slow bowel transit and irrigation
Hi I'm 69 female and have chronic slow bowel transit. I take on advice up to 6 Movicol a day and do colonic irrigation but all I get is diarrhoea. The consultant has never discussed foods for this, so can anyone advise me what foods help and what to avoid. Fibre makes it worse. I am so frustrated as

Jim Allison, Nobel Prize, Ipilimumab, etc.
Here is a 2017 article that might help some appreciate the work that led to the Nobel & the limited success that Ipilimumab has shown. In particular, the disappointing results for PCa. https://www.technologyreview.com/s/604086/immunotherapy-pioneer-james-allison-has-unfinished-business-with-cancer/

Anal Fissure Support Forum
Does anyone know what happened to the Anal Fissure Support Forum - https://anal-fissure.org? Up until September it was working normally, as it has been these past 7 or 8 years, but now it appears to have died. Clicking on the posts produces no results, and there are no new posts beyond October 2. Also

Kidney Doctor
Can't seem to get an appointment any time soon and I'm worried. What is the kidney doctor "really" going to do? My GP is testing my blood weekly (which I think I might switch to monthly) Had an ultrasound...normal. My BP and sugar is good. Eating much better, exercising. I feel pretty good....a little

Shang Ring vs Conventional Circumcision?
Hello, Due to cases of lichen sclerosus, phimosis and balanitis, I am looking to get a circumcision. Various private clinics in London UK offer the Shang Ring method in addition to a more conventional technique, i.e. stitches. Does anyone have experience with it? How would you rate the outcome, recovery

Mouth Ulcers
Another question? I may have more but as I remember my symptoms, I really would like to know if anyone else suffers from these because of PA. Has anyone suffered from mouth ulcers due to PA? I am not sure if it’s the PA or something else but I constantly get them (at least once a month). After I started

Truvada
All that follows is totally anecdotal. I have a friend who has been having PSA done since January 2017. it has hovered around 1.5 all this time. he takes Truvada to prevent AIDS but he feels like this drug boosts his immune system and helps keep the cancer under control. He did not get a prostatectomy

Hi We have just returned home from a most disappointing appointment with the oncologist. A quick reminder my husband was diagnosed in 2009 with locally advanced prostate cancer. Surgery to remove prostate was aborted due to lymph node involvement, started zoladex injections and had 39 fractions of radiotherapy
