zero's experience
i have had Parkinson's for ten years now. I had DBS in June 2013. I am going for a change of battery end of August because the battery was deemed too weak when I went for review in June. Meds have seemed to refuse me from Bromocriptine, Syndopa plus, now since June 2017 Syncapone 100. The doctor said

Confused about B12, iron and haemoglobin
Hi After 3 years of a whole heap of rubbish tests including scans and endoscopy I finally convinced gp to do B12 test (doc: 'it won't be low as you aren't anemic'). It was low. So B12 is 170 (187-883) Iron is 24 (20-200) - so apparently fine And haemoglobin is apparently fine - don't have figures. Had

Iron Deficiency Causing RLS
About 18 months ago I began donating 2 pints of red blood cells every 6 months. About the same time, I started experiencing RLS. Today I learned that I have a major iron deficiency, no doubt because of the blood donations, which is likely the underlying cause of my RLS. Specifically, they tested

Abnormal shaped red blood cells
Hi. I have been getting B12 shots and iron infusion every other week since end of April following major Blood transfusion when hospitalized and diagnosed with hemoglobin of 4.5. They told me that the red blood cells were getting better and not as misshapen and getting more uniform in size so I figured

Triiodothyroacetic acid in health and disease
We very occasionally see some of the "other" substances in the thyroid hormone family mentioned. One such is TRIAC - and this paper is a review of what we know of it. This is very much for those who are interested in the subject in general. Unlikely anyone will actually get any personal treatment benefit
