Hi there One of my dd has threadworms and ideally we all need to be dosed! I know, tmi! My question is does anyone know if it safe for me to take ovex or similar whilst on mtx and hydroxychloroquine. Can't really get an answer on google. Will of course ask the pharmacist but just wondered if anyone had

Research: Cobalamin Deficiency Can Mask Depleted Body Iron Reserves
Hey guys Just in case it hasn't been posted before: It is well documented that iron anaemia can mask B12/folate deficiency including being mentioned by NICE but not so much the other way around. Being convinced that my Mum must be iron deficient and pondering whether her folate and possible B12 deficiency

Private iron infusions in Scotland
Hi there, I've been to have bloods taken and my ferritain level is 11. I've been told to take iron tablets three times a day but its really effecting my stomach. I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere in or around Scotland area that did Iron infusions. Thanks in advance.

Lab Results, Iron Deficiency Dose
Hi, I just wanted to inquire regarding my mother's lab results. Vitamin D <20 (75-150) Ferritin <10 (15-247) RDW 15.8 (11.5-14.5) B12 199 (153-655) TSH 3.82 (0.32-5.04) She is deficient in Vitamin D and Iron, low in B12, and the TSH needs to be lower. The doctor was in a rush and prescribed her

Experience with Tirosint
I am on Levothyroxine 100mcg and having really bad reaction to it about 2 hours after I have taken it (breathing problems, very weak, feel like I am going to collapse, dizzy). Understand Tirosint is a form of Levo without all the additives and buffers. Has anyone had any experience with it? Wondering

Evolution of Nuclear Receptors and Ligand Signaling: Toward a Soft Key-Lock Model?
OK folks, so you thought you'd got your head around thyroid hormones. You really have done a lot of reading. You recognise all the abbreviations and technical terms. You think it all hangs together. Then someone throws in another idea - one that potentially adds another order of magnitude of complexity

Repeating IF test
Hi I saw a new GP today, and he suggested a whole new set of bloods, with a possible referral to a haematologist and possible IV iron. So far, so good, apart from the delay for appointments, when I'm feeling so tired, breathless and spacey. However, he was the first GP to wonder why I'm B12 and iron

Iron, Transferrin, Ferritin Test Results
I had a private blood test to check Iron and Ferritin levels because of a cluster of symptoms that have become particularly dominant in the last month or so. Should I be concerned about these results? Iron Serum 91µg/100ml (50-170) Previous result - 111 20/09/2016 Transferrin

DBS...feeling pressured & can't decide!
How does one weigh out the risks & make the right decision as to having the DBS surgery? It's been 14+ years since my diagnosis at age 45. I am currently on Rytary 23.75/95 MG, taking 3 cap. 4-5 x day. With the first dose of the day I also take 1 tab. Ropinirole 0.5 MG. The 1st dose usually lasts about

Neuro patch
I am having DBS surgery this fall, but in the meantime, am taking 10 Sinemet 25/100 tabs daily. On/off periods are the norm, so I am considering wearing the patch. Looking for anyone with experience (good/bad) with the patch.. Thanks!!

Falling over after DBS
I was very fortunate to gave undergone DBS surgery almost exactly two years ago at the JR in Oxford. Almost every aspect of my symptoms have improved dramatically, the only problems I am left with is my totally illegible handwriting; my weak voice and, worst of all, the occasional fall for no reason!

DBS Denied. Any recourse?
My sister was denied DBS after having been told she was an ideal candidate. The neuropsych evaluator decided she didn't meet the criteria. Initially she was told she would have to wait 6 months to be reevaluated, then it was a year. This was supposedly because she might remember too much about the

Walking long walks
It was sunny but very breezy today. So far sleeping with no breakthroughs, but my sugar carb consumption has been shall we say over the top. Oy! Let's see how tonight goes because I had to take an extra pepcid ac. The corgis have been running and herding each other on the beach and they sleep and sleep
