DBS feedback
I am being evaluated for DBS. I know most of the benefits and risks and am finding that I seem to only hear about the success stories. Of course it's natural that people with a negative experience would be underreported for obvious reasons. I am asking for feedback from all who have had DBS; the good

Sleep method for DBS surgery
It's been quite awhile since I posted anything. I've had Parkinson's for over six years. My biggest issue is freezing, slowness, and stiffness. I live in Denver and am considering DBS and am curious if any one has under the asleep version of the surgery and what your experience has been.

Full blood count
FBC done recently, told to repeat in 4 weeks as lymphocyte count low...0.6 (range1.00-4.50) also hb estimation low... 114(range 115.11-165.00) All else normal. Is this anything to be worried about?. G.P. says borderline anaemic to eat as much iron rich foods as I can and see what next test shows

sharing my 2 cents...
I've had PD for 3 yrs diagnosed, maybe 5 all toll. I'll be 70 in Nov, and my toes curl all the time on my rt effected side for many reasons. Med on and off, going in or wearing off. If I stuck to the proper schedule all would be fine.I take250/100 Sinimet 4 times a day, and 2 250 selegiline a day. Asiltec

Low B12 with 'normal' MCV/MCH
I'm still trying to get to grips with the details of my issues, having finally see some possible light at the end of a long tunnel. I did search for a similar post, so apologies if I've missed one. As I understand what I'm reading, PA is a macrocytic anemia, so would normally result in a high MCV on

Ferritin up and b12 up - translation of blood tests, please?
Please could someone advise as to what these iron tests show? My ferritin level has gone up. B12 level has gone up and as I do not take any b12 supplements ( my last 3-monthly injection was 31/5) how can my levels go up when it is now longer since my last dose?? Concentration is still a main problem

My Experience
I wanted to share this, as this is my journey and I feel better than I have for years. I am confirmed as B12 deficient and now take daily Methylcobalamin (2 per day, has been at 6 per day) and have injections every two months. I have to take daily supplements as I suffer from visual disturbance.

Low iron
Hi there I posted last week for the first time about my IF pernicious anaemia and had bloods taken as I have been feeling dreadful. GP says I have low iron and thinks I may have a bowel issue so is referring me. Can I absorb iron if I cannot absorb B12 ?

Questions from a person new to B12 deficiency...
Hi everyone, I have been reading through lots of your posts, and you seem to give each other wonderful advice and support! I wonder if anyone can answer a couple of questions so I can understand how B12 deficiency works... 1. When you say that with folate and B12 a surplus of one masks a deficiency
