Woohoo, go me!!! I've completed the couch to 5k app with none other than that great gorgeous Sarah Millican xxx
I've lost over 2 stone, joined a gym, cut out drinking every night of the week, taken up
cycling
, which I haven't done in years and now drinking lots of water,4-6 sports bottle size a day.. I'm looking younger, feeling younger, my skins is now so smooth and the main thing is I'm feeling good...

Struggling with tight calfās
I have also been a keen cyclist for a number of years, and had heard that a lot of
cycling
can tighten your hamstrings, is there anything in this? Any help/recommendations would be greatly

Post - AVR: 6 week milestone
Hoping to get back to
cycling
/ tennis before the 12 week prescibed abstinence but I will be sensible. Still a bit of healing to be done on the op site as bruising/fluid works it's way to the surface.

W3R2 in a good mood :)
I did a lot of
cycling
on my brand new bike this weekend and wanted to give my body a chance to recover so after a longer rest period than is usual I finally got around to W3R2 today. It was 26 degrees where I live but I felt excited to be running again after 4 whole days.

Lower back pain..
Iāve been having lower pain back for the past couple of weeks, saw a GP last week who told me to stop running and take up
cycling
! In fact his actual words were āWhy have you started running st your age?ā Iām 43! Relatively fit I walk a lot and not overweight?

Were our grandparents really healthier than us?
Where people in the first half of the 20th century tended to rely on public transport, walking or
cycling
, transport today centres on the car.

Weekseven underway
In the last two years Iāve lost 4.5 stone with weight watchers and have gone from a total couch potato ( I used to drive to corner shop five min walk away) to taking up walking and
cycling
. This year with the last stone stubbornly refusing to shift I decided to give this a go.

Coping with TBI requires purpose and respect...
We cannot be expected to risk our lives
cycling
on the roads. One fall could wipe us out so we need the bus. We need the bus driver to say hello and maybe we also need the bus conductor to help us on board.

Potential AF when I relax
Can anyone suggest anything to help me as I'm getting pretty annoyed as it affecting my running,
cycling
and overall lifestyle not to mention the fact that I think I might die. Kind regards Jerard

Back in AF?
He started
cycling
and running slowly and building up gradually, constantly wearing a heart monitor and had it set up to 125 bpm to ensure he could slow down if necessary. 6 weeks ago after a ride he said his heart felt like it was missing beats, over the last few weeks this sensation has become more

The gym for Jim
There are loads of other activities like walks,
cycling
, Tai Chi, gardening classes, cookery classes, all sorts of things. I went to the gym this morning for my 2nd session and did 1/2 hour on the exercise bike and 1/2 hour rowing. Thoroughly enjoyed it. When I got home I started making lunch.

I am such a mess and I dont know where to start
That started my discovery that it was ok and I started climbing the mountain with her or by myself and started
cycling
and i started losing weight and felt better about myself. Then, the friend I had met at the party in the Navy had contacted me and we met for dinner.

5K-Smashed it!
I used to do a bit of
cycling
about 15 years ago, but haven't done any regular exercise at all. I lost quarter a stone and 2 and a half inches off my waist since February. š Well chuffed!

Try again next month
I do a fair bit of exercise- swimming, jogging,
cycling
and yoga/ Pilates. For me that doesnāt count as strenuous or vigourus as itās what I do anyway, bit scared that thatās what made it not work. But I feel like if I didnāt do it Iād get stressed and that would be bad as well????
