I have cerebellar syndrome with possible MSA and am on a gluten free diet and find that my illness seems to be progressing slowly. Whether this is as a result of my diet or not I do not know but it seems to be working.

Because of my daughter being celiac we have very little gluten, but none of us know how bad we would be x

I agree implicitly. Gut health has an ENORMOUS affect on Brain health which then dictates the behaviour of everything from thyroid to organs to ANS to Mitochondria to Molecular performance.

I’m not convinced you can actually toggle genes on/off but you certainly can all but eliminate symptoms.

You literally are what you eat !

NB Read book by Alan Logan, 'The Brain Diet' Brilliant book

Disappointed that you have to pay a monthly fee to find out any information on his website. I’m following a vegan diet avoiding gluten, we know gluten can cause ataxia in some people so it makes sense to avoid it for a few months at least to see if it helps. Also I have read a lot about earthing and it seems logical that it might help to make us to feel more balanced

This sounds very plausible, although I was surprised about him saying he doesn't get any symptoms! I don't eat anything containing wheat which mainly includes gluten, I tried cutting it out for 2weeks to see if it eased the pain I was getting in my joints? This definitely helped I also found I have more energy (which I always have in short supply )! My neurologist says the frèidrìch ataxia is fairly milde, although it does not feel like it! I think diet can make a big difference. caroxxx
