Tired/Defeated
It’s hard to not be continually anxious, on high alert, or triggered when seemingly you become the outcast every.single.time you attempt to be social, have the courage to get out there and “just be yourself.” I do have GAD. So, I know my thoughts and perceptions of things around me are sometimes, okay

(PC-RT-ADT & Sex) My journey thus far...
Hi Fellas, Happy Holidays. Many of you are aware of my journey, but to recap: I am approximately 16 months out since surgery. I had 40 treatments of RT and just finished a year of ADT. Since my diagnosis, I have tried to remain positive, and stay healthy by remaining very active, going to counseling

I've always recovered from it before without medication,(usually with
counselling
) but I am tired of always slipping back down when something stressful happens.

Aortic Valve Replacement - into the forth week.
I am also part way through some
counselling
. I am not sure how I feel about this yet, but I am sure it wont hurt. I have been very lucky to have such a supportive family, business partner and friends, none of which I could do without. I find talking and sharing has really helped me.

Endo confirms it's all in my head! :p
He spent over an hour "taking a history", then went and had a discussion with his senior and came back to tell me that I had nothing from a psychiatric point of view so they suggest I seek

Just can't cope ...
I'm waiting for a
counselling
referral (UK NHS) but nothing has happened yet and I know that even after my assessment appointment it will likely be a few more months to wait. The trouble is that I am just feeling so overwhelmed that I'm struggling to function.

Just the two of us
I've tried
counselling
, yoga, meditation - which helps for a short time but doesn't change anything. Feeling lucky to have a wonderful husband. Good job as we only really have each other. I would never have imagined that 5 years later we would be at this point.

Coaching vs Counseling
I’d like to hear from those who have tried coaching and/or counseling. What are the pros and cons? Thanks.

Need To Hear Success Stories
Hey everyone I’m just looking for some positive reinforcement from people who have had anxiety drag them to the lowest points in their life but found ways to overcome it. I’ve always been an anxious person but haven’t really had it amplify until the last month or so to the point where I’m starting to

How to deal mentally with diagnosis?
We asked the cancer nurse about
counselling
and have to wait 4 weeks. They also said go to GP about the sleep but her one is useless. I feel that when she starts treatment, at least she can know what to expect - hopefully it will be easier on her than chemo. Sleeping really is the key here.

Coping with unexpected pregnancy announcements
With the help of weekly
counselling
I have been getting stronger but I still have days where I feel pants. One of those days was yesterday when after staying with our friends for the weekend. One of our friends mentioned that one of our other friends was expecting her second child.

Is it ever going to end.
Will I am in a more depressive state as of late. Makes sense since I flunked out of nursing so merry Christmas to me. I have been crying every day and withdrawing from my family since I have no idea how to tell them the news. Especially my father who took out loans for that of course I will pay back

Starting to feel that dreadful feeling!
I’m sitting at work and I can feel that hopelessness/sadness feeling coming on! It feels like going down in an elevator or almost like falling in the pit of my stomach and chest. I am working all of my coping tricks including posting this message. I was supposed to start my counseling the 18th and
