soft, sticky stool which is hard to pass - any advice?
I feel embarrassed describing my poop but am at the end of my rope with my gut issues. I’ve had IBS for 25 years but the last 5 years have been non-stop, daily issues. Over the last 4 years I have had endless tests. A colonoscopy and gastroscope in 2019 which was clear, a clear ct scan later that year

colon cancer/scalp cancer link?
I read via google that colon cancer sometimes spreads to the scalp. Has anyone heard of or can confirm this? Reason I ask, I am awaiting scheduling for my colonoscopy (I'm in the USA, minimum 4-6 weeks wait to book an appointment). I am also having sores on my scalp and a potential enlarged lymph

how do your children feel during disimpaction
Hello I have gone through disimpaction 3 times with my daughter over 12 months (once was colonoscopy prep). Each time, she has felt very ill during and for days after, often needing to lie down, tired, emotional, and in pain. She is nine. I understood this to be expected. Drinking so much laxative

Diarrhoea saga continued
I've had diarrhoea on and off for over a year. It started after breakfast and stopped around lunch time, not every day, but about 3 days a week. It's been slowly getting more frequent. A month or so ago I spoke to the GP who first diagnosed me with PMR/GCA. She tested me for coeliac and cancer, both

Colonoscopy and sick day rules
I am having a colonoscopy and am very stressed about it - I am thinking I should follow sick day rules as it is quite an assault on the body, what with all the bowel prep. Also other investigations to come. I am finally down to 1mg which I am sticking on for now as each attempt to go to 0.5 has meant

Advice please
I am 68 years old, I have had ulcerative colitis for 45 years. It has been largely under control for the last 5 years, I believe as a result of taking probiotics and changed diet. 5 years ago I had a colonoscopy as a check up, under the NHS. They found a polyp and removed it. I was told I would have

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this but so glad I found it. Thought I'd introduce myself....no point in holding back!
Hi, This October 2023, will mark the 25th 'Anniversary' of when, at the age of 26, I was wheeled into Theatre for an Operation that lasted 7hrs. I had 8 months previously been told that there was nothing wrong with me when I kept going & phoning the Doctors as my Period (as I thought it was) came

Post Colonoscopy Bowel Movement
Hi All Just had a colonoscopy as part of long ongoing investigations into my IBS-C and recent ongoing difficult bowel movements. I'm 74 yrs old with digestive problems since 22 yrs old. Lots of scans do not show any problems and the colonoscopy only revealed 2 polyps 6mm in size , removed for the normal
