Colonoscopy - have you had one done?

Hello

Could you please share if you've had IBS symptoms and have had a colonoscopy done? And the results please?

I'm having stress related IBS symptoms, stool appearance changes daily, feel gas move in my intestines, stomach gurgling and would like to know if others have had colonoscopy rule out anything serious. I'm thinking to ask my GI for a colonoscopy

Yes, recently and proved nothing. Had Ph monitored as well and only found hypersensitive to acid reflux. Had x-ray done and came back with impaction and flow past.

Sorry to be a party pooper ( excuse the pun!! ) I had 2 colonoscopies in a month 1st 6/7 polyps removed as I got history with Breast Cancer and there was blood in my stool & constipation & diaharea not much chance 2 recover the 2nd one 3/4 more removed ( sorry about my spellings ) followed with being on a FODMAP diet sheet as if I knew what I was doing with that!!! I don't want 2 put you off as 1 bad experience of mine put you off I suppose it depends on each Hospital and after care team mine was just after COVID so had 2 be tested before each 1 then was told I had Diverticular Disease/IBS all ok with results and as now I had 2 have another colon scan earlier this year the only thing that I found which was worse 4 me was the PREP stuff before each thing as I was not in control of my bowels even water went right through me and was really thirsty so if you can make sure you can keep your fluids up but PLEASE get it done better safe than sorry good luck with it!!!

A colonoscopy is a pretty standard procedure in diagnosing IBS, usually to rule out anything else.
