GP suspects Endo.

I'm feeling a little lost, and really hoping someone can help me, I think some advice would be helpful. Just someone being able to relate to me, that would put my mind at ease. Since the end of last year I have been having awful pain in my back and in my pelvic area. I think there have been things in the past that could relate to all this too, e.g I had to have my appendix removed, as they thought that was the problem. I've been to the GP several times, and she thinks it is most likely endometriosis, although its not officially diagnosed, I'm hoping I will be send for a laparoscopy after my Gynae app. They've prescribed different painkillers, currently I take tramadol if the pain is severe - and not even that seems to take the edge off. Plus amatriptyline. I have been for a pelvic ultrasound and a transvaginal too, they both showed nothing serious, just some excess fluid. I have started hormone treatment, nearly 4 weeks ago. I had the Depo injection to try and ease my symptoms. I was doing ok for a couple of weeks and now it all seems to be flaring up again. I feel so exhausted and so low as the pain started again 3 days ago. My Gynae app isn't until end of June. Is there anything else I can do for the pain in the meantime? The last time I had a flare up the pain was constant for nearly 6 weeks. It was so so difficult. I also have Ulcerative colitis, so I can't take anti-inflamatorys. 3 kids at home too, so I can't be drugged up to the eyeballs on a daily basis. Should I consider asking for a private consultation with a specialist? Thank you for reading.

Hi, so sorry to hear you're going through this and please remember you are not alone.

I have has similar issues to you where the hormones don't work and I've had to look to alternates. I have severe stage IV endometriosis and did a lot of research during lockdown 1 that has helped my symptoms immensely. If you would like me to send you the research please send me a private message. I feel sorry for you, I was diagnosed Endo after the lap surgery to drained the water and cysts in my right ovary. It was only 1 hit of severe pain , it was stage 4 & total hysterectomy after 5mos. I still have the symtoms but it is manageable, i am taking hrt too. If it is continous pain never stop of asking medical advice to your doctor, until you get the correct diagnosis and get proper treatment. There must be something in every pain. Sending you Hugs❤️
